Good news. Got a full refund for my friend when he checked in and asked about the business center and the clerk said they didn't have one. Since "business center" was listed on Hotwire I called customer service. They gladly refunded in full after calling the hotel and confirming no business center. Went back on hotwire and re-booked them at the 4* Quorum Hotel for $14 more. add another hotel to the list!!!!!

I've been searching for a 2nd room(got a freebie at Harrahs since I've donated in high amounts over the last year) and keep coming across a 3* on HW that appears to be the Boardwalk for $23 or $24 depending on the search. If you were use the coupon the net is $13 or $14 plus tax which has been $37.95 or $39.95. I'm not going to bite since it's too far Harrahs (and Harrah's is $39 on harrahs.com). Maybe some can........

the LaQuinta's in Tallahassee are all 2.5* according to Hotwire. This happened about 2 months ago. Just do a car&hotel package and you'll see the 3* in the DT zone is the Quality Inn and Suites and the 3*'s in the North zone are the Ramada (with a shuttle icon) and the Holiday Inn (w/o shuttle).

looking at arriving 10/28 for 3 nights. Hotwire has a 2 star for $390 a night with rest, pool, exercise rm, free bfast and washer dryer. There is also a 3* for $466 a night with rest, pool, exer rm, wash/dryer. based on a package with car the 2* matches the Quality Inn while the 3* matches the Courtyard Key West by the gulf(on marriott.com called by the sea). qualityinn.com has a internet rate open at $180 for 1st night and $333 for the other 2 for a total of $846.00 The 2* without taxes is $1170. So the difference is $324 x 2 or $648 refund. Net cost is $1326.20-648. = 678.20 marriott.com has a standard room for the Courtyard by the sea at $309.00 per night. The 3* without taxes is 1398. So the difference is 471 x 2 or $942 refund. Net cost is $1581.05 - 942 = 639.05 both would be great since this is fantasy fest weekend. Just wanted someone to verify if my assumptions look correct.

My thoughts are you're overspending at $50+. You can probably bid for a 3* on PL and with 4 free rebids you can get a 3* for less than $39. If your trying to avoid a specific 3* then my guess is your 3.5* is the Marriott. Bid on PL starting at $31 for a 3* and add rebids at $33, $35, $37 and $39. Good luck
