  1. For some reason Priceline has this hotel in the Sanford zone even though there is a Lake Mary zone and Lake Mary is in the name of the hotel. Only the Sanford zone has a 3* in it so all the other areas (Lake Mary, Orange City, Deland, Deltona are free re-bids). Started with $40 and Sanford only then used a re-bid with Deland at $43 and won this (as expected). Marriott Orlando Lake Mary Check-In Date: Friday, October 14, 2005 Check-Out Date: Sunday, October 16, 2005 1501 International Parkway Lake Mary, Florida 32746 407-995-1100 Your Offer Price: $43.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $86.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $17.35 Total Charges: $103.35

  3. Hotel Plaza Blvd is inside Disney and leads to Downtown Disney. The Best Western, Doubletree Guest Suites, Hotel Royal Plaza, Grosvenor, Hilton and Holiday Inn (currently being gutted out from top to bottom) are on it. The Wyndham and Hyatt are close.
  4. LQ Lakeside has around 600 rooms with 90% of them being doubles. You should have no problem.
  5. just got an email for another $30 rebate (using one of the two entertainment cards I have) even though I have used it before. Maybe they haven't "re-trained" the person who processed this one (yet)
  6. I did the BBB thing last week but have not heard anything yet.
  7. I emailed back with all the points mentioned above (doesn't say one time use, entertainment website says "unlimited" use, etc) and received this response: Thank you for contacting Hotwire regarding your rebate request on Hotwire Itinerary Number 6907067XXX. "I apologize for the confusion caused to you in this situation. In reviewing the information you have provided, we show that you are correct, it does not state that there is a limit on the number of times you can apply for this rebate. However, this is a misprint, and should state that you are only able to apply once per membership card. As you did not originally understand this, we are able to credit your Hotwire account with 30 HotDollars, usable towards a future purchase on our Web site. However, please keep in mind that to apply for future Entertainment Book rebates you will need a different account number with them." I can't wait for bbbb's response.
  8. BE CAREFUL I think they have caught on: Hotwire has received your mail-in rebate form for Hotwire Itinerary > 6907067xxx. Unfortunately, this rebate was denied because: > A rebate was already issued for the Entertainment Book card > identification > number submitted with the rebate form Just got this email today.
  9. it's not free but the Radisson Worldgate has a $56 rate with EasyClickTravel but on radisson.com the rates are $79 to $109. Radisson offers a lowest rate guarantee that if you find a lower rate they will match it then give you an add'l 25% off. So the end result was a room for $41.81 per night in June. Not bad considering this hotel won 2004/2005 Renovation Property of the Year from Radisson.
  10. might just be a revenue manager who forgot to check off the pool icon on the forms.
  11. H.I. Nikki Bird is NOT in the Downtown Disney zone but the Champions Gate.
  12. different credit card, phone number and email is what works for me.

Not bad for a condo.
  14. my GUESS is the Amerisuites Lake Buena Vista South. According to HW's map it just barely fits on the southern end of this area eventhough the hotel is located in Kissimmee.

  17. . I think you could be able to get the Sheraton World for around $55 on priceline based on the Hotwire price. You run the risk of getting another 3* (Wyndham, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, or Sheraton Studio City plus another undiscovered 3*). Based on a package with AIR and Hotel the Sheraton World and Crowne Plaza are both the same price ($649 with air from ATL) and the Holiday Inn is $785. That makes me 90% sure you'd be able to get the Crowne or Sheraton for around $55. You have more than enough free rebid zones for 3* hotels that you'd have 5 or 6 bids at it. As long as you understand free re-bidding I'd suggest the following strategy: 3* Universal only $45. if rejected add one of the free zones and go to $50 (you might get a counter-offer on one of these first two bids but just ignore them.) If $50 is rejected add another free zone and go to $52 if rejected add another freebie and $55 and try $57 and $60. Be patient. STAY AWAY from the 2.5* you'll be disappointed. For a few $$ more on Priceline you'll get a much better deal and Sheraton's have a hospitality promise so if something does go wrong they'll take care of it (I got a $25 room service credit just because the batteries didnt work in my remote once) The Crowne Plaza is very nice too.
  18. the 2.5* could be something like a Days Inn, etc so I'd stay away without knowing, unless you want to "take one for the board" The Sheraton World is very nice but you won't get a tower room just a regular room in one of the two story buildings that surrond the tower. Have you thought of using priceline?
  19. the first I don't know it's "undiscovered" but doesn't the second one match the Sheraton World
  20. based on that you've got my answers, I'd go for the Best Western LBV if I had a choice. Have you purchased from HW before? If not, look for the "giftcard05" thread on the board. Even if you have, use a different email and a different credit card and you can use it again.
  21. add some star ratings and I'll help but I'll guess also: if the first one is a 2* then Travelodge East if the 2nd is a 3* then Best Western LBV 3rd if a 3* is Radisson Worldgate.
  22. its a feature they have added in case someone wants to call in to book instead of doing it online. You call in and give the reference #.
  23. Radisson WorldGate Resort Includes: 1 room for 2 nights and 2 day rental car. $200.00 All taxes and fees included Hotel features: Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service) the above is a search for car and hotel for you dates and its seems to be a match for the Radisson World Gate. I dont know if your interested but check this out for your dates: http://www.betterbidding.com/index.php?act...&f=174&t=12993&
  24. ok details: Booked Days Inn Lake Buena Vista for $69. at daysinn.com for 5/20 for 2 nights. Orbitz had the same room for $65 a night so I filed a claim for the first night free and received word in 4 hours that my first night is free and the second night would be $69. Total cost for 2 nights is about $78.00 with taxes.
