  1. I'd been bidding and bidding and bidding for several weeks with no luck. Tried up to $193 for a 5* and up to $180 for a 4* with no luck for the same dates. Looks to be about a $10-$20 savings per night...not stellar but not too bad for what looks to be a very busy weekend in Singapore.
  2. Broke up my stay into 2 parts and was finally successful with the Renaissance Boston Waterfront. As always used your PRICELINE link for bids:-) Looking forward to a fun weekend in Boston
  3. I'd been trying for a couple of weeks to get a win for Boston for Sept. 23-26 and had no luck up to $150 for the three nights; I'd also seen some other posters reporting difficulties getting wins for similar stays. Decided to break up the stay and was successful on Sept. 23rd for the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge for $145/night. As always, used your PRICELINE link and thanks to everyone for their posts.
  4. I'd been inching up my bidding for several days for a pre-flight hotel - finally was successful at $73 for the Westin Bristol Place. Last unsuccessful bid was $71 for anyone trying the same date. Not a bad deal at all - I was hoping for the Sheraton Gateway so we'd literally be at the airport, but this is close enough. As always used your PRICELINE link. Thanks!!
  5. If you don't have too much luggage, the bus system is excellent and inexpensive. I'm planning on buying a multi-day pass which if I remember correctly is sold at the ABC stores.
  6. I'd been bidding up to $90 for a 4 star for a few weeks with no success and decided to try 3.5*. Won at $70/night. Previous bid was $65 and unsuccessful. As always, used your PRICELINE link to start bids. Last and final hotel booked for our 10th anniversary surprise trip!!
  7. From what I've read I will have to pay the daily resort fees; I'll aim to make full use of the benefits/services included in the fees.
  8. The link would go to priceline, but it wouldn't load up. It worked just fine tonight when I tried it. Maybe it was my computer or an issue with the priceline site linking. Voodoo...
  9. Cancel that thought - just won tonight :) Offer Price Summary Bonus Cash Per Room, Per Night: $4.00 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $126.00 Total Offer Price Per Room, Per Night with Bonus: $130.00 4*Sheraton Waikiki - Waikiki Beach Area 5/27/11 - 6/1/11 Previous bid was unsuccessful at $125
  10. I've been bidding for Waikiki Beach 5* and Resort for a couple of weeks with no luck for May 27-June1 up to the $140 mark for 5* and $136 for Resort. I'd noticed a win $125 for part of the dates we're there for the Sheraton Waikiki Beach; My debate is whether I should break up my bid and risk staying at 2 hotels or just hold out to see if anything better comes along? I'm not opposed to moving hotels within the same general area, but I'm wondering if anyone has had similar bidding experiences in this area. Also influencing my bidding is $20 in bonus cash which expires tomorrow...
  11. Thanks for the tips. We've got a rental car, but its always nice to have places within walking distance. I'm still working on Honolulu...
  12. I'd been bidding up for a few days and decided to go up to $95 to get the winning bid for this one night stay. Previous unsuccessful bid was $90. I wasn't able to get your PRICELINE link to work last night - but usually I use it.
  13. Offer Price Summary Bonus Cash Per Room, Per Night: $6.67 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $72.00 Total Offer Price Per Room, Per Night with Bonus: $78.67 Previous bid was $75 and I was provided a counteroffer of $89 which I declined; Won by adding an extra $3 on the next bid. Best price on the hotel website is $127/night for the AAA rate. I'd been bidding for the past few weeks for a Resort in Kapaa, Princeville and Poipu up to $119 and a 3.5* in Princeville up to $115 with no luck for the same dates. As always, used your PRICELINE link.
  14. Started bidding much lower and gradually worked my way up to $94 to win the Le Meridien. Previous bid was unsuccessful at $92. SFO here I come...hopefully the first of several successful bids for this trip :) As always used your PRICELINE link.
  15. Had slowly been bidding up in $2 increments for all zones south of Central Park not including Soho-Financial over the past week. Was rejected for the same zone at $122. Looks to be a convenient location for our 1 night pre-cruise. As always, used your PRICELINE link. Thanks to others too for posting their winning bids!!
  16. First bid started at $30; offered a rebid at $40. Tried a free rebid at $32 and was successful. Used the PRICELINE link on the page.
  17. Previous bids at $44 and $45 failed. Finally, success at $46 - roughly half the posted rates. Looks to be nice in the photos... and the airport shuttle will be useful for my flight the next day. As always, used your PRICELINE link.
  18. Finally won at $106. I'd been bidding gradually up over the past few weeks using and yesterday's bid topped out at $105 with no luck. Of course used your PRICELINE link. Hopefully happy travels ahead!
  19. Tried bidding for a 4* up to $75 with no luck. Bid $45 + $10 bonus bucks = $55/night and won the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center on the first try. I noticed a win for similar dates at the Radisson, so I was thinking I might get the same hotel. I'm still very pleased with the location near the Franklin Institute and price. As always, used your PRICELINE link. I find this site extremely helpful in planning trips- thanks for all the posts!! Looking forward to a first trip to Philly
  20. We won this hotel for a stay in May 2009 and found it comfortable. Our room wasn't huge, but pretty standard size for European hotels and we did have a comfy king size bed. It did have a large bathroom with virtually every type of bath amenity possible - razors, comb, sanitary products, shaving cream..in addition to the standard shampoo, soap, shower cap, etc... It is also very conveniently located across the street from the train station and transit connections. We literally walked everywhere from there - Van Gogh museum, botanical gardens, restaurants, bars, opera house - great city for walking. Hope you enjoy your stay.
  21. I'd been bidding for several days; last night went up to $90 with no luck. Tonight I bid $85 + $10 bonus cash to win for $95/night. Best standard price on the hotel website is $259/night. Looks nice in the photos and centrally located for sightseeing. Of course, used your PRICELINE link. Priceline is wonderful!! 22. Won the Renaissance Providence Hotel tonight for an upcoming trip to see Waterfire. Started Bidding around $40 and gradually worked my way up to $51 which won the day. As always used your PRICELINE link. Thanks again for help in securing a great rate! Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $51.00 Subtotal: $102.00 Taxes & Fees: $21.80 Total Charges*: $123.80
  23. The promo code was dalys, but it looks like all the regular rooms are gone for the Saturday night. The $199 rate is for their club floor, which includes breakfast. If you split up the reservation, the $149 rate is available for May 21.
  24. I've been bidding for that same Saturday night for a couple of weeks also - started looking at Jersey, and all zones south of Central Park, down to a 2.5*...no luck. Don't know if Brooklyn is too far, but I came across an opening special for the Sheraton Brooklyn for $149/night - far less than what I've been bidding in Manhattan. Thought I'd share just in case :)
  25. I'm still bidding for Manhattan and Jersey City, but no luck thusfar.
