  1. This was my first bid amount, and it was accepted. Thankfully prices have come down from the highs at summer. I've stayed here before (and at most of the Hotels in Louisville), and it's under-rated at 2*. Most (all?) of the others in Louisville are listed at 2.5*, yet are not quite as nice. Free high speed Internet Large Rooms, well furnished. clean. Small gym Outside pool Good breakfast buffet Stafff are usually pleasant. rooms are accessed through one of about 4 ground floor doors. 2 stories i believe. Shaun
  2. first I tried $45 for Louisville only - rejected. I was informed that if I'd add $12 then my request would be accepted. Instead i added "Boulder" to my zone, and increased my bid by $6. This was accepted, .. and in Louisville (so no need for the +$12 !) Louisville is a good area to use Priceline for, as all the hotels are in one area, and all are pretty similar whether 2* or 2.5* note: Hotwire was showing $82 for Louisville 2* (Comfort Inn, or La Quinta) Cheers Shaun
  3. Gave me the Quality Inn. This if fine, same deal as in November (so if you're offered this deal, it's probably for this hotel) Free breakfast is good. They have high-speed wireless internet connections. There are several hotels in the Louisville area, all ok. Personally I like the LaQuinta which comes up as a 2* for some reason (rooms are bigger than the Quality Inn) I usually check what's offered on Hotwire, then bid lower on Priceline to see what I can get. If nothing is accepted (eg $32 for 2*, or $35 for 2.5*) then i take the Hotwire offering.
  4. Correct. It seems advantageous to start with just ONE of the locations, and if the bid is rejected then add the other. If you start by accepting both regions, then you can't subsequently "change" your bid by removing one of the locations. Shaun
  5. First tried $33 for 2.5* in Louisville.... rejected then tried $34 for 2* in Louisville .... rejected Finally changed to $40 (i was running out of things i could change!) for 2* in Louisville and Boulder..... accepted. I know the hotel it has given me, it is very nice.... better than the 3* hotel i stayed in Phoenix last week (Holiday inn). Free Internet, and the free breakfast is not bad.
  6. The stay, Sep 2nd, was very pleasant. Nothing special about the hotel, (3*? !) but good room, good location, and great price.
  7. Just gave me the Holiday Inn, Midtown Best price on it's website is $62. I'll let you know how it is.
