  1. It was indeed the RIO. Figured as much. With taxes and "resort fee" add (which everyone seems to have), the total was $66 and change. Thank you !!
  2. Was thinking this was the case. The area map kinda threw me off. Still undecided about the trip. If we go for it we will book thru the link here. Thank you SO very much !!
  3. Hello, I'm trying to ID a hotel listed under PRICELINE EXPRESS for 5/23 (1 night) . 4 Star, West of Strip. Rated 7.0 out of 10. Amenities include Pets allowed, Business Center, Restaurant, Indoor or outdoor pool, Casino, Fitness Center, No Smoking... Any ideas ? Thank you in advance for your help !
  4. Opted to go for the 4* Thought it might be the Hotel Zephyr. It was ! Struggled whether to wait or buy. Lotsa expensive stuff listed and unsure if it will drop as we get closer. One in the hand thing... Thanks for the help. I usually bid on Priceline but didn't think I would do much better.. Thanks for your help, as always !!
  5. Indeed I was looking at both properties. From what I could tell they have similar ratings. Free breakfast for $10 more was talking to me if they were fairly close in terms of amenities/comfort. Any guess on the 4* property so I can do a better comparison ? Thank you !!!
  6. Looking for help to ID a hotel in San Francisco 11/14-11/16 Fisherman's Wharf area 3star Free internet Free breakfast Fitness Center Business Center 95% approval 4/5 trip advisor ps: why does it seem Hot.wire taxes and charges seem higher than Price.line ? Thanks for any help
  7. Was worried about getting Hostel or inferior 3* property so decided to go 3.5*. Started out at $100 with Gaslamp/Convention Center. Rejected. Bumped up to $105 and added in the "Gaslamp Quarter" zone and scored this great place. Parking is $29/night tho. Still a great deal close to the convention center..
  8. Was looking for 3.5* in Irvine or Newport Beach area. Median price was over $200. Garden Grove median price was $139 (and acceptable location), so I started there. Opening bid was $52. REJECTED, but with offer to immediately buy at $67. I knew I could do better. I increased bids by $3 and added in Irvine, Newport Beach and then filler spots (no 3.5* hotels). Crowne Plaza tipped at $61. I've stayed there before, nice place. I know I saved $6 over the buy it immediately, but I feel like I won at Vegas!!! Gotta love the thrill of the bid... :D
  9. I struggled over 2 different days trying to find the break point for a 3.5 property near Disneyland. Usually I find a property for around $65 for middle of the week in this area. (I noticed they redistricted the area) Not the case this time. I started upper $50 and crept my way up to $85 before I ran out of free zones to use. Declined ! HOTWIRE showed $102 per night and breaking it apart into 2 separate nights, Thursday was the expensive one (not sure why). I started bidding at $84 on the 2nd day and slowly crept up to $95 before I got this deal on my 6th bid. Hard fought battle to improve the price vs HOTWIRE...
  10. Started Union Square East at $140. Added Union Square East at $145, rejected. Added Moscone area at $150, accepted !!! (probably should have started there first with beginning bids. These were the only 3 areas we were interested in staying. We then would have started adding in non-4* areas...figured this was the least costly of the 3 areas). Hope this helps someone, to me its always a gas !!! Happy Cheaper Hotel Hunting !!!!!!! B)
  11. Looking to stay close to Rose Bowl/Norton Simon Museum ammenities include: Pet Friendly Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Resaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self service) High-speed Interenet Access Tennis Nearby In-room accessibilty
  12. Tried 3.5 star yesterday at $74 with 2 rebids at $79 and $84 using Camarillo and Port Hueneme zones (only 3stars in both zones. Started again today with $89 bid. Accepted right away. Saw it listed at $119 last week but didn't purchase. It was up to $139 at the same site before my bids and was kicking myself. Decided to Priceline the 3.5 star and won.... I LOVE this site !!!!
  13. Started out at $80 bidding Union Square. Increased bids by $4 per bid. Added zones 11, 9, 1, 4..Parc 55 Wyndham accepted at &96...gotta love it !!!!! Parc 55 Wyndham accepted at $96 a night...
  14. Started out bidding $79 for zone 7 (my preferred spot). Was going to add in zones 2,3,4,8 as free bid zones when they accepted my FIRST bid. I should have started lower !!! I'm sure I could have gotten it for $3 or $4 less...LoL Happy Bidding !!!
  15. Started out bidding $60 for this area 3.5 stars. Added zones 1,11,12..they accepted $71. Original counter was $75 to book right then & there...skipped from $67 to $71 on final bid. ..perhaps they would have accepted $69....hmmm. It's always fun !!
  16. I started out $80 with Monterey as first bid and declined. (was given option of book right now for $96..which I declined) Added in Seaside zone and bid at $84 which was accepted. Always feels like winning the lottery..Yeehaw !!
  17. Started out with $56 bid and increased by $3 increments. Added zones 1,2,4,5,7,8,9,and 11 before I was accepted at $80. Ya gotta luv it !!! B) It's cheaper than the $257 they wanted for Disneyland Resort Hotel PLUS $15 for parking....
  18. :) Last minute trip..bid $57 for a 3.5* hotel. (usually I find weekends cheaper than this , but wasn't sure on a Monday) It was accepted AND bumped up to 4* hotel as well. YeeHaw !!!
  19. Started out bidding $46 ..rejected. Added zone 3 and bid $50...rejected. Added zone 6 and bid $55 and was accepted. I would have teased up my bids but short notice caused a bigger increase...I always want that $2 in my pocket...LOL Happy bidding out there....
  20. Started bidding at $42 and added zones that didn't have 3.5*. Added next zone at $45 which was accepted. Thanks and have fun out there :)
  21. Started at $68 and added other zones which had NO 4* hotels until they accepted my offer of $76. Luv this stuff...!! :)
  22. I didn't know I needed a room for this night as well when I got the Hilton in this winning priceline bid for $58 on 5/27-5/29. I started bidding at $52 and increased bids by 2 dollars as I added zones. Picked up the Westin South Coast Plaza for $62. It means switching hotels that day which is no big deal.. 4* hotel Orange Co on holiday weekend, what a bargain !!!!
  23. Not dissapointed at all...just suprised by my inability to know it was there... I always have a great time on this site. Thanks for the assistance.
