Very happy with this reservation & stay. The room appears to have been renovated within the past year. The only downside being the lobby is currently under construction, a little bit of a disruption is the walk to the checking counter. (Check in first the get you bags as we ended up putting bags back in the car to drive around to the far side of the building for on outside entrance.)

New 3* location..... even confirmation listing still mentions "This 2.5-star property...." while showing 3* at top of the page. Should still serve our purposes well during a trip to Boston & close to Natick Mall. Amenities on Hotwire web page. Had been bidding on PRICELINE for days with no success..... a very busy weekend in Bangor. Columbus Day / Thanksgiving weekend. Virtually every room in Bangor and miles around was booked. We finally checked HOTWIRE again and the only option was a 2* with airport shuttle & breakfast. Price was a little high for a 2* but with no other options and trip to start in 2 days we decided to book. (hotel options had been disappearing daily) The hotel was the Charles Inn in old historic Bangor..... so so place, but better than being on the street. We overhead 2 phone calls looking for accommodations just while we were checking in...... the front desk clerk gave a "sorry, all booked". Also overheard a person on the street looking for a room and the girl he asked said "there is nothing for miles around". The room was clean but the hotel is very old and has had some upgrades but still shows it's age. The continental breakfast was on the 4th. floor and was pretty decent. My apologies for not using the "Better Bidding" HOTWIRE link...... had been using it all week long for PRICELINE bids but I don't think I used it when we booked the hotel........ but the least I can do is share this with the board as this is a hotel not listed previously. .....well, I can't give any update on quality of the accommodations. Our flight was delayed and we missed our connection, so we never got to Winnipeg the evening of the booking. I didn't take advantage of the $4 insurance policy.......a risk I was willing to accept. We did get free accommodations in Toronto for the night so pretty much a mute point I guess. Dallas

.......just back from our stay in Halifax. The hotel desk staff (Ricardo) was very helpfull in upgrading to a room with 2 double beds even though the hotel was supposedly sold out. The room was very nice with all new furnishings and recent renovations. We were not as "in love" with the beds as many other posts we have seen....but better than some. Overall we were very happy with this stay and loved the priceline price advantage. Some things of note: in room coffee = $2.50 per cup :) $18 valet parking.....although parking on the street is free and readily available on the weekends (spring, summer or fall......not sure about winter, :) internet access = $10/day if required. Workout room was very well equipped.......pool look nice (small) but we never tried it. Dallas

Just returned from our stay in Moncton. I was very impressed with this hotel........which just opened in June '08, so needless to say eveything is still new. Check-in was fine.......were not able to upgrade to 2 queen beds but the king size bed with pullout couch did satisfy our needs, not to mention that this was also a suite with full kitchen.(although not required on this trip) Workout room was very good with recumbent bike, 2 elipticals and 2 treadmills. Saltwater pool was nice and clean but on the smaller side. Breakfast buffet is more of a continental with a few hot additions but still very good considering that it is included with the room price. It was very very busy at 9:15 on the Sunday morning that we went. There are appox. 10 - 12 tables/ counters that seat 4-6 each and they were all full and the staff was pretty much overwhelmed at the time......however 20 miniutes later things weren't nearly as hectic. Overall a very pleasant stay.........and great deal. Dallas
