  1. Need help identifying PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal Dec 20-24 Union Stn St. Lawrence Market zone $75 night; 42% savings Amenities: Free wifi, fitness centre Thank you
  2. Just wanted to close off this thread. Our travel plans have changed to French Polynesia. Thanks folks!!
  3. My stay is May 31 to June 2 and June 9 to June 13 (pre & post cruise). I don't know if this qualifies as a last minute stays. Wondering if you could tell me whether I can expect a potential good deal on a last minute stay or from your experience, a bad deal? When should I start to bid & at what percentage of their asking price? I would be bidding for a resort or next lower level hotel. Second question is - how do I avoid Outrigger on the Beach since their pool is going to be closed in June? I know this is for two different bids which I will separate out into two different threads when bidding begins. Right now, it's just a generic question on last minute bidding. You folks have always been so helpful. God luv you for the job that you do :)
  4. Just realizing I did not close out this thread. We booked directly with the Marriott & got an OK deal through a AAA rate. Really wanted this property. Thanks for all your help.
  5. I have the Marriott booked as a back-up plan. Right now, I'm afraid to book what I think is the Westin through Hotwire because of reading that some people have been sent to their County Club. No doubt a beautiful place, but we definitely want the beach. Since I have time to watch this property on Hotwire & see what happens with others who win the Westin, I think I'll sit on this for awhile.
  6. But does this guarantee a room in the Westin on the beach or is there a chance that I could be purchasing a room in their Country Club?
  7. I think I've almost answered my own question. Both the Westin & the Marriot would be "on beach" not "beach nearby". So it's either the Crowne Plaza or the Westin's Country Club. What do you think? If this is what the Westin is doing..it is very deceitful.
  8. Hi I need help identifying a 4* Hollywood Beach Sept 4-7, 2011 listed for $85.00. Amenities: Bed Choice (this is listed on the hotwire main page, but not on the pop-up window for all amenities) Resort Near Beach Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Business Center High Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Spa Services I'm hoping it's either the Marriott or Westin. Don't want the Crowne Plaze. Thanks so much!!
  9. Just wanted to close off this post...didn't get anytime to bid again. In the end I had to rely on my back up plan and stayed at the Embassy Suites. Real nice hotel and great location. Thanks for all your help!
  10. I was hoping to get cheaper than $189/night. Tried Priceline last night & bid $125 for 3.5. But it got rejected. Got the Embassey suites booked as a back up for $166 night. But I'll likely keep trying Priceline bidding over the next couple days. I have 7 days to cancel Embassey before the Apr 17 check-in. But starting my travel today so bidding time will be limited. I'll let you know the outcome. Thank you for your help!
  11. Would love to stay there, but I'm afraid of what other 4* I could get instead.
  12. Hi these hotels are listed on Hotwire for the Santa Monica - Venice - Marina Del Ray area. Any idea which ones they might be? Dates: April 17-19, 2010 4* $185 Near beach Fitness Center Pool Restaurant High Speed Internet Access 3.5* $189 Near Beach Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center High Speed Internet Access Thank you.
  13. I'm still watching this one. I don't want the Crowne Plaza. I'm hoping it could be the Hollywood Beach Marriott. Could that be a possibility? Aeronan
  14. 4-star hotel in Hollywood Beach This hotel features the following amenities: Resort Near Beach Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Listed for $122 a night. Stay will be for one night, May 10. Do you have a best guess? Thank you
  15. That's the one I was hoping for!! Last week I booked directly with that resort & got a AAA rate for $180 a night. So not enough savings yet for me to cancel reservation & book through Hotwire. You made a good point in your previous post!! But now that I know this resort is being posted I'm going to watch it closely on hotwire. I notice another post where the person got this resort for $139 night at a 52% savings. Different dates I know but I just may pick up a last minute deal! Thanks so much for your help. I'll keep you updated!
  16. I've still been watching Hotwire for my dates. They now have the following listed: 4* Resort Casino Restaurant Laundry Facilities Tennis Nearby Beachfront Pools Business Centre High Speed Internet Spa Services It's listed as a "Customer Favourite" $169. It says retail is $209, save $40 (19%). Can you offer any help to identify resort? Thank you
  17. I'm glad I checked here. I thought it might be the Intercontinental which is my preference over ESJ. I'll keep checking HOTWIRE to see if they add other resorts for that timeframe. Thanks for your help!! :)
