Tried Huntington/Plainview area a couple of times a few days apart - nothing under $100. Included Westbury as that location would work as well - did not have to go much above $100 which was my price point. Rates must be going up - I've never paid this much for LI.

First try: $84 rejected. Waited 24 hours and then tried $89. Rejected. Waited a couple days and tried $99. Accepted at the exact hotel I was hoping for. Never changed my star level or location - just increased the bid. Would have been happy at the Hilton Garden Inn nearby as well but I LOVE the Huntington Hilton especially because it does have an outside pool as well as its indoor pool.

Doing the college tour. Need to stay overnight near Alfred State University. Was told Hornell was 20 mins. away. Only offer is 2*. I was hoping for the reportedly lovely Comfort Inn but what I got was the Days Inn on Priceline which has pretty lousy reviews. Won't complain for the price I got, $40, but I WILL bring a feather bed to put on their cheap hard mattress and hope for the best!

I already booked my trip with Priceline but decided last minute to leave a day earlier. We had the Red Roof Inn, Lancaster, 2* from Priceline for the other nights but I wanted to step it up for the first night and decided to go outside our always used Zone 1 being that we had to head to Western PA the next day for a few days. So I decided on 3* in Zone 2 for Western Lancaster area. I bid $55 for 1 night. I got rejected and was offered to add $12 to my bid. I gladly did and was rewarded with the 3* Doubletree Willow Valley Resort. GREAT DEAL!!! Thanks, Priceline!

SO happy to have won a Priceline bid for this establishment! Thank you Priceline! Over our many trips to Lancaster, I have never stayed at this location because I have never chosen this zone on the Priceline map. So to all of you who want Zone 1, Intercourse/Bird in Hand area, do NOT hesitate to bid Zone 2 for 3* as you may get this fabulous Hilton Double Tree Willow Valley Resort. It is not really located West Lancaster as the Priceline map shows, but geographically it is south of Lancaster but only about a 10 minute ride from the Intercourse area. So well worth the out of the way ride! The rooms are huge, ours had a full size sofa, a LCD screen TV, a lovely bathroom with biig thirsty towels, and the beds were sumptous! The outdoor pool was very relaxing. Everything and everywhere was very clean and tidy. For a last minute plan, this was a huge success! An added plus, although we did not get to try it this trip, is, you pass by the reknowned Dude with the Food BBQ truck.

Just want to let you all know that Do NOT pay any attention to past negative reviews of the Lancaster Red Roof Inn on Route 30. We stayed 1 night last week on our way out to Bedford Springs and stayed again 2 nights this week on our way back to NY from Bedford. Not 1 tiny bug of any kind was found or seen at all! It was a great deal and we are very happy. Book with confidence! Any past bedbug issues are GONE! Also, Jay, the desk manager, was wonderful and very accomodating. And if you opt out of a huge Amish breakfast elswhere, this motel provides a fabulous free breakfast. The make your own waffles were a huge hit! Priceline got us a fabulous deal here and I am very happy!
