  1. I just called Hertz and they just asked me "did U refill the car when you return it?" and I said "yes". Then the lady said "OK, you will receive the refund in 2~3 days". Did Hertz try to bill every car that did not opt for they fuel option?
  2. I use cash at the ACRO station which is about 5 min drive from the return location. The breakdown of the bill is as follows: Fuel & Services: 49.89 Concession Fee Recovery: 5.54 Refuel Sales Tax (3.75%): 1.87 Tax (9.75%) 0.54 ======================== 57.84
  3. I bid for a compact car through priceline from JUL 1~8 and win the bid from Hertz for $16/day. I was given a 4-Dr Toyota Yaris and at that time I did not go for the fuel option with Hertz. I fill up the car when I returned the car and a lady who inspect the car said everything was OK. However, I just received a letter from Hertz and they charge me $49.89 for fuel and service. The letter was dated Jul 26. Is there anyway I can dispute this charge? This is the first I rent a car so I did not get any written confirmation when I return the car.
  4. About 1 month ago I was trying to book a compact car from Jul 1 to 8 in LAX but the price in Hotwire was showing $30+ per day and I tried to bid up to $19/day in priceline and still fails. So, I booked Hertz through Expedia.ca for around $22/day as backup. Yesterday, I found the price has dropped through hotwire (it is showing $20/day for compact), so I started bidding at Priceline again. I started at $15/day but fail, I increased it to $16/day and won the bid with Hertz. 5. Since the current bidding price for car rental with priceline is so high for July, I would like to make a backup reservation and try the last minute bidding w/ priceline. Anyone knows if there is any penalty with cancelling car rental reservation with Expedia? I would like to make a reservation for a economy car with Expedia (hertz) or should I do it at hertz directly instead?

  10. I will be taking my kids to San Diego Sea World/Zoo/Wildlife Park from Jul 5~7 (3 night). I plan to book a 2.5*/3* hotel through PL and would like to know which zone should have the cheaper hotel. From the map, it seem Mission Valley is the suitable one, but I don't mind traveling 15 mins more since I will be renting a car. I apologize if this is not the correct place to ask.
  11. I went back this morning and the price jumped to 69. Well, I thought a lower price may be appear in evening and decide to check back later. Just about an hour ago and I checked and it was gone! I am pretty disappointed but I have to get a room for my family vacation. So I go to PRICELINE. I started off with 55, Seattle Downtown Space Needle/3*. I got rejected. So I include 2.5* and increase the price to $57. Guess what, PRICELINE came back and book me into the Holiday Inn Express Seattle City Center. I guess I might be able to pull it off w/ $55. Do I need to re-post this in the Priceline-Washing (State) forum?
  12. I finally confirm my schedule tonight and suddenly found hotwire increase their price $65. Could HOTWIRE adjust their price back later?

  15. would I be better off using PRICELINE? but how can I avoid the 3* The Inn at New Westminster (too far away) as 3* Hilton Metrotown has the same star level? is there any new 3* in the PRICELINE burnaby list?
  16. my preferred choice is either the Hilton Metrotown or Holiday Inn Express (which ever has the lowest price). I found a 3* hotel ($79) with the following Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Tennis Nearby and a 2.5* hotel ($66) with the following Amenities: Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby from the hotel listing from this forum, there should be Complimentary Breakfast if it is Holiday Inn and should have spa for Hilton. I couldn't see them from the offer. The hotel I am trying avoid is Ramada Hotel and Suites Metrotown (if it gets a star inflation from 2.5 to 3). any clue?
