  13. This is a continuation from my earlier post where I split my bid for a 4 night stay in SF. This Friday and Saturday night were so much more expensive than what I've seen on this board. I've been going up on my bidding a few dollars every day and finally hit it today. Used the PRICELINE link on this website. 3*USE/USW ..... $110 rejected 3*USE/USW/FW ..... $115 accepted Tuscan Inn At Fishermans Wharf 3-star Fisherman's Wharf 425 Northpoint Street San Francisco, California 94133 415-561-1100 Check-In Date: Fri, May 16, 2008 / After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: Sun, May 18, 2008 / 12:00 PM Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $115.00 Subtotal: $230.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $42.82 Total Charges*: $272.82 Price for these two nights on the Tuscan Inn Website is $658.92. Some extra information if this helps anyone out there: I have bid up to $152 per night for a 4* in either USE or USW for these dates and haven't even received so much as a counter offer.
  14. This is a new hotel not on the San Francisco hotel list. Used the PRICELINE link located on this website. Originally tried to get a 4* in USE or USW from 5/16/08 - 5/20/08 but bid as high as $125 per night using rebid zones and was without luck. Decided to split my bid and try for the 4* hotel on the last two nights of the trip (Sunday and Monday nights). Will let the board know where I am able to get for the first two nights when booked. First started off bidding for 4* in USE $70......rejected $75......rejected $80......rejected $86......rejected Then bid for a 4* in USW $70........rejected $75........rejected $85........rejected $94........rejected Then bid for a 4* in USW and USE $95........accepted! Tried to extend my stay for the previous two days, but was turned down. Should have probably gone for a lower first bid for both zones, but am very happy with how it worked out! 16. Hey everyone. I'm new to this board and have found it to be a HUGE asset when using priceline. I've already been able to save over $120 on a hotel! I wanted to book 2 nights on the strip in a 4 or 5 star hotel checking in on 5/18/08 (staying Sunday and Monday night). My max per night would be about $140-150. Only problem I've run into is that is seems this is an expensive couple of days in Vegas (for not being Friday or Saturday night). Here are some rates I found: Venetian - $550 per night MGM Grand - $330 per night Paris - $429 per night Planet Hollywood - $199 per night Has anyone out there who has previously bid on hotels on non Friday or Saturday nights when prices are this high had any success in getting some of the great rates I've seen on this board? Anyone have a strategy for where to start when prices are so high to begin with? Thank you in advance, and I will be sure to follow up with what hotel I end up getting when (or if) I start bidding.
  17. Did you get the venetian as a 4 or 5 star hotel? I thought I saw it as a 5 star hotel on other parts of the website?
  18. Staying at the Marriott in Central Columbia for one night on 3/19/08 for $60 Started bidding at $50 - rejected. Came back 24 hrs later and bid $55 - rejected - offered to give it to me for $70. Then I found this website and learned about rebidding zones. Immediately tried a bid for $60 using rebidding zones and was accepted!
