  1. Your Price Was Accepted Congratulations, your price of $35 was accepted by Sheraton Dallas North Hotel. I bid for a 4* first at $35, just in case lol, but was fairly certain I would get this hotel for this price as I have before and it was on your board as a recent win. It is a great hotel for the price.
  2. Is there a way I can link my review to the hotel to my topic on this board?
  3. I stayed at the Hyatt Place and I was impressed. The breakfast is great and you can order, for $, lots of other items if the free buffet items are not to your liking.
  4. Began my bidding @ $40 and raised in $5 increments and added in other areas in Dallas w/out 4* offerings in order to stay in the Galleria area. I was hoping for the same hotel as last time, The Westin, as it was terrific, but when I raised the bid to $50 my offer was accepted by the Le Meridien. I clicked your link to PRICELINE.com. I added a review of my stay at The Westin Galleria. I will review this hotel after my stay.
  5. Let me preface this review by saying that while I do travel and stay in hotels for my job several times a year, I am typically booked into hotels of the Quality Inn, Clarion Hotel or Holiday Inn variety, so a Westin is above the caliber of my usual lodging. If my review seems a bit too flattering you can put it off to that, lol. We live about 11/2 hours north of Dallas and I would not consider myself to be knowledgeable about highways in the city, but the Westin was very easy to get to. It is just off the LBJ Freeway at the intersection of the Dallas North Tollway. I booked a two night stay at this hotel through Priceline asking for a 4* in the Galleria area for my soon to be 8 year old daughter
  6. I began the bid at $40 for a 4* and was immediately turned down, but offered a limited time special if I would increase my offer by $15. I did and I received the Westin. And yes, I clicked your link to PRICELINE. Thank you for maintaining this site.
  7. I used the PRICELINE link from Better Bidding. Thank you for this web site. Also, I tried to get a 4* with the price of $40 in Galleria area and was offered it if I added $12 more to my original bid price. I decided to try the 3 1/2 star for $40 and that is how I got the Sheraton.
  8. I bid this price because I saw on your web site that it had already been won with that price. And yes I used the PRICELINE links from Better Bidding. Thank you for this web site. Also, I tried to get a 4* and 3 1/2* with the price of $35 in Galleria, but no takers.
  9. Believe it or not this hotel has rates of $89-$99 online, so I consider that the $35 rate was a bargain even if the hotel did not live up to the Wyndham name. I stayed on the 4th floor in a non-smoking room(445) facing the pool. The view of the courtyard and pool was actually quite nice. The room that I stayed in was acceptable. Just. The room was clean and I am VERY picky about that. I have changed rooms in hotels or had housekeeping come up if I do not think the room is clean. It was a bit small and the King sized bed takes up a lot of the space in the room. The bathroom had an older style pedestal sink so there is no space for make-up, brushes, etc.... An arm chair and desk with desk chair and an armoire with TV and three drawers make up the rest of the furniture. The pillows and towels were acceptable. The sheets were bordering on threadbare. Requests for extra towels and pillows were met promptly by housekeeping. The amenities are of a decent size and are from Bath & Body Works. The a/c worked well , I turned the temp to 70* and it was there in about two hours and it was in the nineties outside. The hotel hallways and public areas, except for the lobby and bar/restaurant, are in desperate need of renovation and better air conditioning. The a/c would help with the musty smell in the hallways. The hallway on the fourth floor was downright hot. The parking lot seemed to have a lot of trash blowing through it. Parking is plentiful and FREE. The high speed internet connection was a wired connection and quite fast. I did not watch TV and so cannot comment on the channel selection. The TV is 25 inches and nothing special. Breakfast is buffet and it is good for the price of $9.95. Some people had cards to get it for free, I do not know why. Maybe you could ask at the front desk? When checking in, I picked up a USA Today and a Wall Street Journal, both provided to guests for free down in the lobby. There were two people at the front desk, but only one was working (Yvette) to check people in or out. The other lady seemed to be looking at paperwork and answered an occasional question but did not help and consequently it took 20 minutes to check in. That is ridiculous when there are only 3 people ahead of me. This hotel is conveniently located to I-635 and 75 and Coit Road, quite close to the Texas instruments Business Park, and is approximately 20-25 minutes from Dallas Fort Worth airport. Oh, I forgot to mention. The pool area is a nice oasis. A small one, but each time I went swimming, I was either the only person there or one of two or three.
  10. I first tried for 4* at $40 then upped bid to $45 and added 3* and this is what I got. I hope it is as nice as the Crowne Plaza in Dallas.
  11. Business Services, Remote Control TV w/Premium channels, Radio/Alarm Clock, Iron w/Ironing Board, Hairdryer, Telephone with voicemail, 24hr. Front Desk
  12. The amenities listed were (in this order): Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access. Thank you for making this sight. I think it is a wonderful idea.
