While I have a beef with Hotwire's fudging hotel star ratings amenities on smaller hotels I do not think it fair to blame them for bedbugs in individual hotels which is something clearly they cannot control. So for me if you have a beef and actually had damages(it seems not) of any kind check woth your individual hotel. In the future it is easy to inspect hotel rooms for bedbugs "fecal spots" are the telltale sign simply get amother room. I for one will continue to book Hotwire for their excellent value on 4 star and above.

3.5-star hotel in Gatlinburg This hotel features the following amenities: Condominium offers a combined living and sleeping area, plus a kitchenette or complete kitchen. To my dismay won the 3.5 star rated $62 hotel top in Gatlinburg represented to be Condos with fully operational kitchens.Instead they are Motel 6 type hotel rooms with sofa stove top bed crammed in.Very dark dingy time share rooms with no view located NOT in Gatlinburg or within walking distance.AVOID bidding for this scammy time share resort like the Plague.Shame on Hotwire for misrepresenting it in their ratings.

HOTWIRE appears to overrate many properties and change the ratings to meet the bid. Had a recent experience with 3.5 star rated Westgate Smoky Mountain Gatlinburg TN resort represented to be Condos with operational kitchens and dining areas that were in fact motel 6 type small hotel rooms with sofa stovetop sink bed crammed in very much NOT 3.5 star Condo in any way. About 6 mos ago bid for a 3 star in Destin FL was filled with with a 2.5 star Country Inn Hotel Caught them both times and received full refund but it indicates a pattern of deception that is troublesome. Much prefer to bid on PRICELINE they are much more honest with their rating system.
