  1. ended up renting a timeshare in NYC at the Hilton through craigslist. It was very nice.
  2. I know I have been on this site multiple times and have never gone through but tonight I will be suing hotwire 100% because I have a last minute biz trip for tomorrow. Anyway can someone identify this hotel it is 4 stars in Orlando SeaWorld - I-drive South area hotel Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Spa Services for $55 for tomorrow night April 11 checking out the 12th
  3. bid up to $120 for a 4 star and got nothing so I stopped. Will try same thing tomorrow.
  4. 12/16-19 Central Park Area Hotel 3 stars: fitness center and high speed internet Empire State Building Area Hotel 3.5 star: fitness, internet, business center, restaurant any ideas?
  5. I understand that but does priceline always give you the lowest bed configuration for the hotel?
  6. Ok I will go with that strategy later today. I am a bit concerned about the Sheraton New York in midtown west. I see some have gotten great deals on that but I have a concern. If I win that hotel does that mean I will have the room with 1 double bed?? I would really like a queen or king or even two doubles. Is this possible or no?
  7. Thanks for the reply. I just checked all the priceline zones and here is what I like. Times Square- Theatre District and Midtown West. The other nearby zones are okay but I would really like one of these two. I would go as far as $125 a night for a 4 star hotel. And if I can get a 3 or 3 and half star for $100 a night or under I would definitely do that as well. So basically a 4 star for 120 or under would be my first choice of course. If not II would go down to a 3 star or 3 and a half. Now if you say I can get a 3 star for 80 and a 4 star for 120 I would go with the 3 star since I am on a budget. I am trting to mix my budget with my personal preference if that makes sense haha.
  8. updated it. My dates are for the 16th-19th. I am not positive on how much taxes and fees are but I would like to be at or under $450 total. So I am guessing $125 max a night.
  9. Ended up going with priceline and got Sheraton safari for $48 a night. FYI, that hotel was pretty bad. The room they gave us had a horrible smell and the sliding glass door for the balcony had white and yellow paint all over it. I cannot believe they would give that room to a customer. They ended up moving us and it was a little better but we were disappointed that a hotel would even give someone a room like our first one.
  10. Hey guys, I am trying to go to NYC with my girlfriend as a college graduation gift to myself. I booked the Belvedere for 3 nights for a total of $540 (Travelocity) however that is really stretching our budget. I would like to get a 3 star or above hotel for $450 total. ANy chance I can do this?? We would really like to stay in the times square or central park area. Please share any advice. Thanks so much.
  11. I need help with this too. I need to purchase a room for this friday and saturday asap do any help is appreciated.
  12. 4 star for 3/3-3/7 lake buena vista downtown disney 2 adults 169 a night Fitness Center Pools Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby
  13. here are the hotel specs. travel from 3/3-3/7 3 adults 1 child universal studios zone price is 39 a night Customer Fav amenities are : Comp. Breakfast , hi speed internet, fitness and pool I think it is the Hyatt place but the savings dont match up.. On hyatt.com the rates are like 150 a night. Could I actually save this much a hotel or do you think it is a different hotel than the hyatt?
  14. I am looking at hotels in orlando for 3/3-3/7 and when I change the number of people the hotels change and sometimes the price of the same hotel changes too. My question is why is this and my other question is if I put 4 adults but I actually only show up with 2 adults then will there be a problem? I ask because i want the hotel that shows up with 4 adults instead of 2.
  15. hey trixie have you decided yet? I am seriously considering the hyatt place for 39 a night...It looks really nice..The only bad thing is if I use HOTWIRE, I lose $60 from priceline because of my cancellation :).. but it would still be a great deal because on Hyatt's site they are asking 139 a night...let me know what you do
  16. I just tried to book it for 99 a night for 3/2-3/6 with no luck....Im so mad because I cancelled my previous reservations (cost me $25) because I got the only hotel i did not want and now I cant even get what i thought was a sure thing....And ive also seen others get the gaylord palms for the same nights as me for only 95...
  17. The reason I tried it was because I looked at other winning bids for dates close to mine and all of them were hotels that I wanted...Out of the whole list there were only 2 that I disliked so I played the odds...but i guess I lost
  18. I needed a wdw hotel from 3/3-3/7 and wanted a 3*...The only 2 hotels i didnt want were holiday inn main gate east and the best western...well i ended up with the holiday inn for $55 a night...im pretty upset about it because i really wanted the sheraton safari or pretty much anything but the 2 that i listed :)
  19. Because I have yet found a hotel that offers shuttles to disney and universal and since my first 2 days I will be at universal, I need a hotel by universal that offers a shuttle and the same for disney for the second half of the trip.
  20. yes but a couple posts above someone said that the regal sun standard room is not worth the 74 a night ( which is actually 85 because of the resorts fee) so I most likely going to cancel those reservations.....The perfect hotel for me right now would be a 3* or 3.5* hotel for 69 a night or less that has shuttle services to universal and disney but i dont think that is possible, so if anyone knows the hotels i described above that would be great (or if anyone can help me with my trip regardless)
  21. yellowdog i sent you a pm please reply....also if anyone can help me identify these hotels ( I looked at the list and could not find them) 3* from 3/4-3/6 ($73 a night in LBV - downtown disney) Pools, High speed internet, Business Center 3* disney Main Champions Gate $64 a night from (3/3-3/5) Fitness center, Restaurant, Laundry, Pools, Business Center, High Speed Internet
  22. I have never used hotwire nor priceline and was wondering when it would be best to book for a 3 star hotel for one or two nights (3/3-3/5 or 3/3-3/4)...I already have booked regal sun resort for 3/4-3/7 at 74 a night through their floridas resident special....but I need a universal site hotel for my first two nights....I see there is a 3 star for 39 a night but i think it might be the clarion...I was hoping the holiday inn will show up....do more hotels come up closer to the date and if so do the prices go down on the others??please let me know.
  23. I am trying to go to disney/universal march 3 - 6 ( I am also flexible with the dates I can go from feb 29- march 7) and am trying to stay at any of these hotels..If someone can find them for me on HOTWIRE or has any tips on getting them through priceline that would be awesome. I will list the hotels with what I am willing to pay for them. I am also flexible with the dates and stays, I can stay at one hotel for one night and the other for two nights or i can stay all three nights at one of them (easier)..anyways any help is appreciated. Disney's Dolphin hotel (100) Radisson celebration disney hotel (60) Doubletree universal (65) Sun regal resort (60) Royal pacific resort universal on-site (115)
  24. Thanks Henrik and sorry I just joined this forum so Im a newbie. But I am looking to stay as close to universal or disney as possible and would like to stay around 75 a night or better....and also the 3.5 star disney main gate is a resort and has tennis icons as well.
