Would you still recommend us to take the even hotel or possibly this hotel which keeps us in Chelsea near the wedding ? Yes...still would like this for 5/8...again, I am almost positive this hotel is showing on HOTWIRE for 66.00 - tried bidding on PRICELINE with this revised bidding strategy upping the max bid amount Select 3.5* Rocky Hill... Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $53, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $56, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $61 no luck - I thought maybe this might work seeing as to how its on HOTWIRE for 66.00, but no go...should I keep trying? I thought PRICELINE accepted bids are usually a little less than HOTWIRE? perhaps I am wrong on this...

actually tried bidding on this as a last minute stay for tonight!!...I am almost positive this Sheraton Hartford South in Rocky Hill is the same one that comes up on HOTWIRE...tonight it was listed there for 67.00...tried bidding on PRICELINE adjusting my bids higher than the 50.00....ended @ 66.00 which I thought for sure would go thru...rejected.....had gotten the message @bid #2 (44.00) that if I upped my bid 33.00 I could "win" the hotel...in the past I have won by upping the bid "some", but not the full "amount" they wanted...didnt work this time...

Hi Can anyone supply a bidding strategy for 3.5* Rocky Hill for 1 night - I only want to use the free "re-bid" zones that have only a 2.5* or below (as of right now I see 4) - I really am attempting to win the Sheraton Hartford South in Rocky Hill - I know it is very nice. I do not want to end up with anything in Cromwell, as I know the hotel that people have won (the 3.5* is NOT a nice hotel - been there...& it has gone downhill!!) I have some time to play with this, as its not until May, so lets use max bid of $50.00, I can always adjust the max dollar amount on my own if I go awhile with no success Thank you

Thanxs Romelle - upon researching, it is cheaper & more cost effective to just take the evening flight home on Tuesday, so wont be bidding on a hotel by DCA...I have been trying to match up the amenities on my questions on identifying my three hotel options without much luck...any ideas on identifying the 3 hotels I have listed? There are 2 downtown, & 1 in capitol hill..TY!!

now for hotel for 1 night by the airport - DCA - 3/29 - prices @ airport are more expensive than I expected!! Bidding strategy please!! max bid of 120.00 - 4* - but I only think I should use the rebid zones that have 3* choices? dont want to chance getting something out of Crystal City DCA zone...I count 7 rebid zones to do it this way...would you agree this is a smart strategy to make sure we only win Crystal City DCA? ...I know...no guarantees, as there could be an "unreported" or new hotel tossed into the mix...

Hi - Hubby & I are thinking of a possible trip to D.C. & are flexible in the days, but looking for 6 - 7 nights, somewhere between 3/23 - 3/31 - not being familiar with D.C., we would like to either priceline or hotwire something that is nice, preferably 4* or like 3.5* (wondering if this is still nice in the city???? I know in NY anything below 4* is not good)not super fussy, but it has to be clean & nice...no rundown hotels or I wont sleep!! & either centrally located to walk to attractions, or close to a metro station that we could use the public transportation to get around, (wondering if they sell a visitor unlimited transit pass like Boston does??)...of course we would like to stay @ 120.00 or so, or possibly could go a little higher...being that its probably right near cherry blossom festival time, is this even possible? Any advice , suggestions would be appreciated!!

Hi...looking for some advice/help with Atlanta area. Might have to possibly either HOTWIRE or PRICELINE a room to research housing/apts around Emory University. In the Emory/Decatur area, it seems there are not many nice hotels listed on winning lists, but the Buckhead area seems to have a pretty good list of possible wins, & seems not too far from Emory. Also I hear downtown is not too far from the university either. My questions are: am I correct in my areas to look into staying? There will be a car with us, so I DONT want to have to pay to park at hotel. I am assuming hotels in Downtown will charge to park?, but not sure about Buckhead?...any info or advice on area will be appreciated, so I know what to look for when we need to look into a hotel...
