Made the reservation last night through the PRICELINE link from this website. Tried to get 4* La Rambla (Silken Gran Havana) at $87 and was denied. Added the BCN airport zone and increased price to $90 and was given the Hesperia Towers.
I'll be there the week before you. I'll post when I get back and let you know my experience. I ended up at the Trump by bidding for a 4* Strip hotel on PL for $71 and got "upgraded". The Donald must be monitoring this board.
I was bidding on a 4* hotel as I was trying to avoid the Trump hotel. First of all, I don't want to be off the Strip and second, I want a casino in the hotel. PL congratulates me and informs me that I have been upgraded to a 5* and it's the Trump. Has anybody had success getting out of a PRICELINE agreement based on the hotel provided is not where you wanted it?
