  1. I'm pretty sure it's Dolphin's Cove-- check it out, it's been awhile since I researched it.
  2. Sorry, no personal experience but in my notes are 24 hr jacuzzi, free fridge and parking ;-)
  3. I'm just adding this because I wouldn't want someone to get frustrated and quit. I have done extensive research and also searched trip advisor for priceline wins in the Anaheim area and I have concluded the best wins are close to your dates. Like within a few weeks. The better hotels are to be had cheaper. That's not true of other areas, but it seems to be very true for Disney. The farther you bid out the more you pay and or-- you end up with the Holiday Inn (which isn't the worst thing in my opinion)
  4. Hey congratulations- $42 is the lowest I've seen in the last few years for a 3 star Disney area hotel and the Hyatt is good. That's what happens when you have patience (the best deals are to be had closer to your dates around Disney I am convinced) and persevere.
  5. After a little more searching I am sure this is the Garden Grove Candlewood Suites.
  6. Help ID 2 star South Disney Fitness, Highspeed internet, Laundry, kitchenette No trip advisor rating, do not have a clue. Searched 1313 Harbor blvd. Anaheim CA 92802 4 people, $59 on msn and IE, a little more on firefox. March 21-26 2009. 2 *Fitness, Highspeed internet, Laundry, kitchenette.
  7. That first one has come up in my searches and I don't know about it. The second one is actually North and it is an extended stay America, way too far from Disneyland for my tastes. I wish the Clementine extended stay would show up!
  8. Well I called HOTWIRE and they said they were just updating so that's cool ;-)
  9. Thanks Col-- I got moved twice, only notified once so that is why there is a repost ;-)
  10. It seems the trip advisor ratings have disappeared for me the last few days, is this happening to anyone else? Someone mentioned a new format somewhere else on this board- is that what happened are the trip advisor reviews somewhere else now? (for hotwire)
  11. Do the trip advisor ratings get taken off occasionally for updating maybe? I've done 3 searches today with no trip advisor ratings, same hotels, no trip advisor.
  12. 3 star South, $99--4 people Put in 4 people came up with this at $99. Amenities:Fitness Center, Restaurant, Laundry, tennis nearby, Pool, business center, highspeed internet access. Dates 3/21-26 2009. Trip advisor 3.5 out of 5 140+ reviews last reviewed in May. Also we would need at least 3 beds- if you put in 4 people would you be guaranteed at least 3 beds?
  13. Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one clueless lol. Jeez-- spent hours today trying to figure those 2 out. Yeah-- I've got a lot of time and patience with a home room already booked-- just kind of toying with the idea of a second room somewhere-- don't think the HOJO et book rate will be available anymore for the price I paid, and son will be 18- old enough to have his own hotel even lol. Can you believe I'm such a bargain room junkie I'd do this ? I just want to be able to sleep when I'm there-- husband and son both snoooore. Seriously though, we'd have the HOJO close to the park for resting/eating, and somewhere else for husband and I to sleep. Well. Husband if he takes his allergy stuff and nose strips. :-) It's fun to look on HOTWIRE. I am bidding once a day on PRICELINE--low but within reason for a 3 star.
  14. Anaheim Maingate?, 2.5 North $54 2.5 North Check In Date: Sat, Mar 21, 2009 Check Out Date :Thu, Mar 26, 2009 Smoke free room, restaurant, laundry, pool business center, high speed internet access Traveler Rating (2.5 out of 5) Based on: 80+ customer reviews Last Reviewed: March 2008 Closest thing on trip advisor to this was Anaheim maingate but I know there is a fitness center there....any other ideas? Whoops-it's $53 instead of $54, don't know how to edit subject line, and saw a similiar hotel listed back 2-3 pages here, 2.5 Holiday Inn Palms, but it lists fitness center and mine doesn't. That one also didn't list smoke free rooms.
  15. Disneyland South 2 star $59 3/21/09-3/26/09 Amenities : complimentary breakfast, restaurant, tennis nearby Points of interest--Block at Orange, Travel information: 7.8 miles to John Wayne Airport/Orange County Airport (SNA), 25.0 miles to Ontario Intl. (ONT)
  16. I agree with the above poster in that you would be better off bidding on PRICELINE, as there are many rebid zones for Disneyland and you can bid every 24 hours now-- I personally would not bid more than $45-- but you are getting closer to your dates so whatever you feel comfortable with. Just for your FYI Anabella has picked up recently for $80 on PRICELINE but it could be found for the same price for those dates for the same price on Expedia and a few other hotel sites. All the hotels are great that pick up in the 3 star range, however they are not the close ones on Harbor and that is a big factor when Disneyland is your destination to consider. I certainly would not pay the $100 + I saw for the hotel you posted here, I don't know what it is-- didn't notice the suites in the amenities, I did play around to see if I could figure it out-if you get on trip advisor and look for hotels that match you could probably figure it out/circles+how many reviews and amenities.
  17. I remember you had trouble with the parking when you went, that made me really conscious of the problem when we went. I remember the first night, had no problem when we checked in, but I'm sure it was earlier in the day. The second night it was full by the time we got back for the night so we thought we'd check out the nearby area (I had google earth'd it before hand) and knew there was a Mcormack and Shmick's nearby so we went there for happy hour and by the time we got back there was a spot. I really wanted a jacuzzi this time so I'll gamble again I guess ;-) Wish the ding dang Red Lion still had the 24 hour jacuzzi of old days still-- that was the bomb. My stepdad found other 'secret' spots to park when he was there, maybe I'll check those out too. I do like Travelodge's though, I'm seriously considering the Travelodge Anaheim when we are there-- it's got everything we want, and if you are brave you can walk to the parking structure pretty quickly to the shuttle from what I understand.
  18. Bid 2 days ago sorry-- forgot to post here. Started at $40, added Northwest and $45 and got it. I love this place-- the breakfast is wonderful and the riverwalk is beautiful, especially at night. There is also a Mcormack and Shmick's nearby,-bonus--. It is also on the streetlcar line. You pay to park, but we didn't have any trouble parking at the meters in front of the hotel last time we were there.
  19. Yeah thanks Col-- I was just curious, ended up getting the Residence Inn on Priceline for $45 --love it.
  20. Amenitites : tennis nearby and restaurant. $54 April 11-13 Greater DT Portland area.
  21. Could you put the amenities on here please? Thanks. Oh never mind just woke up-- thought I was on the HOTWIRE board.
