  1. Have stayed at the Palomar before and very pleased to have gotten it for $113. Terrific property. Used your HOTWIRE link to book - thanks for all your help. (It is a four star hotel, not a five star if you can correct the title.) Amenities Boutique Hotel Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower
  2. Hi and you are right - my bargain quickly disappeared! I am considering the purchase on PRICELINE and will definitely use the links. Thanks again for trying to help.
  3. AH - I see that doing what you just advised adds one more icon - I now see tennis added also. This again points to the Boca Raton Resort. There is also a place near there called the Boca Beach Club with those amenities, but I think based on the PRICELINE clue of their offering the Boca Raton Resort at $99 per night, its got to be this one....? Thanks.
  4. Can anyone help me ID a 4.5 star hotel in Boca? The rate offered for Oct 15 - 18 is an eye-popping $88. The icons are: Resort - Near Beach - Fitness - Pool - Restaurants - Biz Center - Internet - Golf nearby. I guess it must be the Boca Raton Resort and club, which comes up on Priceline as a 4 star at $99 for the same time frame? Thanks for any ideas - I will use your HOTWIRE links when I book, as always.
  5. Hi - you got the same deal I did at the Hyatt. I am curious - did you just see this $59 price offered yesterday for the first time? I've been watching Hotwire for a few weeks and did not see this one offered until last night. Great deal! JB
  6. Love this board, it has once again helped me snare a great deal. I used the link to go to HOTWIRE. With the info here, esp by noting the Trip Advisor rating and the "customer favorite" designation, was able to get the Hyatt for our Disneyland trip for $59 per night. The icons were Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Hi Speed Internet, Golf and Tennis. I was set on some other closer options, but when you see a deal this good you have to go for it. Thanks everyone who posts their bids, all the posts are so helpful in piecing the puzzle together. In Mickey we Trust. JB
  7. Hi - just popping on one more time to correct the error in my headline - my actual dates are 3/28 - 3/31. When I change it to 4/1 as my headline reads, Palomar does not come up any more. So for anyone looking for a bargain that weekend, go for the same dates I did, 3/28 - 3/31. Thanks again and hope it helps someone else as much as it helped me. JB
  8. Greetings and THANKS! I discovered betterbidding while researching the Palomar on Fodors forums. SO glad I did! I was prepared and even pleased to pay $169 for the Palomar by booking their hot Deals on the Kimpton Web site. This was still far below Expedia, Hotels.com etc. Then I read the threads here that told me how to spot the Palomar on Hotwire by checking the icons and the Trip Advisor ratings. I have never used Hotwire before, and my hand was shaking as I hit the BOOK button as I REALLY really wanted Palomar. Feel like celebrating - I got it for $99 per night. Awesome deal, many thanks for all the help I found here. I used your link to go to HOTWIRE - rock on. Happy camper, JB
