  4. Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Pensacola West 2607 Wilde Lake Blvd Pensacola, Florida 32526 850-944-7653 Your Offer Price: $51.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $51.00 Taxes and Fees: $13.63 Total Charges*: $64.63 i'm just waiting for them to tack on a "resort fee" of $15 to kill this deal like every other hotel does these days. Should be a decent find.
  5. Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $46.00 Subtotal: $46.00 Taxes and Fees: $13.85 Total Charges for Original Reservation*: $59.85 Couple things to note - they rape you on parking - $21 a night for self park. You can't use the airport parking option because they require a 2 or 3 day minimum and if you move your car they will charge you. (The parking garage is a tight squeeze - watch your car as the turns and stalls are very tight) I have stayed here a few times and this last time the LINE to check in was 45 minutes long. The line ran the entire length of the lobby. Clearly Hilton is way understaffed or they just don't get a damn.
  6. price per night on priceline Subtotal: $41.00 Taxes and Fees: $12.85 Total Charges for Original Reservation*: $53.85 this is the old hilton hotel - IMO one of the nicest hotels in Reno for the money. Hotwire has this hotel as a 4.5 star which i'm not sure it is quite that. It definitely is a 3.5*. Ample Parking - located close to I-80.
  7. TBH i am disappointed - i wanted the anaheim suites for this price. I bid $2 too much. The Crown Plaza is fine, just not my favorite hotel. Thanks Better Bidding Disneyland - Orange - Garden Grove 12021 Harbor Blvd Garden Grove, California 92840 714-867-5555 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $44.00 Subtotal: $44.00 Taxes & Fees: $13.01 Total Charges*: $57.01
  8. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $55.00 Subtotal: $55.00 Taxes & Fees: $15.34 Total Charges*: $70.34 just an FYI - this same hotel is $69.46 on HOTWIRE - just realized after i bid - so maybe you can go a bit below $55 for this. Also I usually stay in the downtown LA area at the Westin or Marriott - all those bids bombed out up to $70 as well as the Hollywood area. So this will have to do. Not the best location but a decent price.
  9. First Bid accepted at $40 - maybe you can go lower? decent little joint for 2 Andrew Jacksons Sheraton Bloomington Airport - Mall Of America Vicinity 7800 Normandale Road Bloomington, Minnesota 55439 952-835-7800 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $40.00 Subtotal: $40.00 Taxes & Fees: $12.50 Total Charges*: $52.50
  10. W Hotel Chicago City Center Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area 172 W Adams Chicago, Illinois 60603 312-332-1200 Never have won this bid in Chicago - I am curious how the hotel will be - people either love it or hate it - looks like a boutique hotel - even though it is the flagship hotel for Starwood.
  11. It must be the Bears Game that drives up the hotel prices - never paid this much with the Swissotel - Great property on upper wacker - avoid the Palm's Steak House though - horrible service and food. Swissotel Chicago Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area 323 East Wacker Drive Chicago, Illinois 60601 312-565-0565
  12. Red Lion Portland Convention Center 1021 Ne Grand Ave Portland, Oregon 97232 503-235-2100 Not a big fan of Red Lions but i couldn't pin any bids for downtown Portland under $56 -
  13. Peoria doesn't exactly have a lot of hotels to choose from - this is in IL - not AZ - sorry for the wrong category. Admin please move :) Hotel is a 2.5 star and hopefully a decent place - FYI PRICELINE rejected a $40 bid for a 2.5 star so this is it...
  14. 3.5* bid of $43 in the Disney Area didn't take so i upped it to $45 and chose Fullerton and this came up. Not a big deal since I'm out on business but keep that in mind if you need to be in the Disney area - this is a bit away from the action. Crowne Plaza Hotel Fullerton Fullerton - Brea 1500 South Raymond Avenue Fullerton, California 92831 714-635-9000
  15. bids of $42 and $44 got rejected - $46 was accepted. at least it isn't in east lansing... Courtyard By Marriott Lansing 2710 Lake Lansing Road Lansing, Michigan 48912 United States 517-482-0500
  16. bid for two rooms at once - bid was taken. apparently the recession is still in full swing if 3 star hotels in oakbrook are $30...
  17. bid was orginally rejected at $40 so rebid at $41 and it was accepted
  18. The Palmer House Hilton Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area 17 East Monroe Street Chicago, Illinois 60603 312-726-7500 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $64.00 Subtotal: $64.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $17.22 Total Charges*: $81.22 I am going to cry when the recession ends - I have traveled the country for Motel 6 rack rates staying at 4 star hotels...
  19. priceline took on the first bid, maybe you can get it lower - this is decent hotel - i prefer the westin - remember don't ever park at the marriott - just go across the street for the nightime special at the World Trade Center and park for $12...you do have to be out before 10 AM but the money savings is worth it
  20. tried for the westin at $65 and $75 lowered star to 3.5* got this one...
  21. the economy must be getting better - now we're getting 3.5* for $50s - what happen to the $40s? bring back the recession!!! Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim Disneyland Area 12021 Harbor Blvd Garden Grove, California 92840 714-867-5555 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $52.00 Subtotal: $104.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $20.60 Total Charges*: $124.60
  22. Now I'm going to become a Michigan Fan! Go Big Blue! I did what you said and sure enough after a bit of script reading - the Priceline Rep first tried to tell me my bid was $120 and more competitive than the $126 the hotel's website had. I pointed out to him that was INCLUDING TAXES and FEES. He relented and went ahead and refunded me the difference. So I matched the best rate of the Sofitel and probably never would have even chosen this hotel if it weren't for Better Bidding. Nice Call on that!
  23. :) Bidding started at $100, $110 and still no "raise your bid by $22" so I put in $120 and it was taken. I looked at prior bids at this hotel and thought at first this was a good price as it was lower than any posted on betterbidding. So the lesson learned here is always check the websites of the hotels before you bid. I Paid Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$120.00 Subtotal: US$240.00 Taxes and Service Fees: US$35.98 Total Charges for Original Reservation: US$275.98 Hotel Site offers at $126.85 per night inclusive of taxes and fees. So I over paid by $11.14 per night. Figuring Better Bidding has saved me thousands of dollars I'm not too grumpy. But I always like sticking it to the man - maybe Priceline outside the US isn't as competitive.
  24. well this was interesting - bids rejected from $70, $76, $79 and $80. Apparently there must be some big festival going on in Sydney - i didn't even get the $22 counter offer - No Love from Down Under. Will have to try again...
  25. I have to be honest and admit I can't believe I paid this much using the better bidding site - but for whatever reason, maybe the Aussies celebrate the 4th and have higher rates - I started at $80 then moved to $85 and then $90 and no bites. Finally at $95 I received the "raise your bid by $22 and we'll hook you up" message. So I knew I was close. I bid once more for $100 and won the hotel. While it is still 50% below the list price, it is not the usually wow rate - I'll take it. I think I'm within $5 and of course used the PRICELINE Linky.
