  9. I would like to stay less than $130 a night per room and would prefer not to go below a 3 star. We just want something clean and nice, we don't need anything special since our time there will be so short.
  10. I need two rooms for 1 night on March 24th in an area that would be centrally located. We are coming in on the train between Washington and New York and will have about 24 hours. We want to be in an area that will be easy to get around so we can see as much as possible in a short time. Can anyone make a suggestion? Also, would we be better off with hotwire or priceline? I would prefer not to spend a fortune since we will spend very little time in the room.
  11. Cheaper is not necessarily my goal. We are definitely interested in beach (not man made)for this portion of the trip. We don't really have a maximum in mind, just want the most possible for the money.
  12. Can you please suggest a bidding strategy for a resort or 4 star for the dates of June 13-15? I won Sheraton Old San Juan for June 22-24 post cruise but I would like a beachfront for the 2 days pre cruise.
  13. I bid $100 for these dates and was accepted at the Sheraton Old San Juan. (I did use the link to begin the bidding.)
  14. I did reply back on the original posting today for New York. I still have not made reservations in San Juan yet though. Any ideas on the hotels above?
  15. I have made a reservation through VRBO in Brooklyn. All money was done with credit card and it is registered with VRBO for the Home away rent with confidence guarantee. I have a friend that has a relative in New Jersey that went by this weekend and everything is good.

  17. Hi, I need help to identify a hotel for a few days pre cruise and then again for three days after in June. Also in other help that you might could give me would be appreciated. This is our first trip to SJ so we are very unfamiiar with the area. The three that might interest me are: 3* for $92 per night Near Beach Smoke Free Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby 4 * for $169 Resort Beachfront Casino Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities Internet Access Tennis Nearby Spa Services 3.5 * for $159 Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet Access Tennis Nearby
  18. I checked the POD and they have no availability for those dates. Any other suggestions?
  19. There are my husband, myself, my son and his wife and my 20year old son. The one in mid town might be of interest.
  20. Hi, This will be our family of 5's first visit to DC. I am not sure of the best area to stay. We will have a car. I have booked 2 rooms at the Westin Embassy Row as a backup at $99 each including breakfast buffett and valet parking. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to stay that would be centrally located or should I stick with what I have booked?
  21. We will be coming in from Washington or Philadelphia either train or bus, not yet sure which. We talked about renting a car but have been told by many that there is not much reason to do so. We would like to keep it under $400 per night for the 2 rooms. We looked at several 2 bedroom condos but I am a little worried about doing that. We will fly out from MacArthur on Saturday. Any help would be appreciated.
  22. We are a family of 5 taking our first trip to New York March 25-29. I have been unable to find anything any where near reasonably priced for these dates. We would need 2 rooms and at over $300 a night a piece that is more than we have budgeted. Is there an area anyone could recomend that is not in Manhattan but that we could easily commute by train or subway from and that would be more reasonably priced?
