Needed three rooms. Started bidding at $50 and went up $2 with free zones. Was planning to stop at $62 when they took it. 15 night total for $1068. Have stayed there a few times before. Nice rooms,sports bar and pool. Staff is alway helpful and friendly. Only wish they had local area shuttle. I think it's just for the airport. Used the betterbidding PRICELINE link. It does make the re-bidding a lot easier.

Needed two nights in Cape Coral area. Have been watching PRICELINE and HOTWIRE for a while. Glad to get the Hampton Inn. Stayed there last year and was very happy with it. Got it for $60 last year. $55 was my first bid and they took it. Used the Betterbidding PRICELINE link all the time.

Not sure if you want a new topic but I ended up taking a HOTWIRE listing for $146/nite. 4* 9/19-23 for 3 rooms. It ended up being the Hyatt Regency on East Wacker Street(Millenium/Downtown). The amenities that were listed were the same as listed on Betterbidding's list including Spa and Laundry. I have stayed there before but a little cheaper I was bidding on PRICELINE up to $140 for a *4(Loop and North)without success and was getting a little nervous since I had no back-up. Used Betterbidding PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links as much as possible. It actually make things easier.

Just curious.... What did you start your bidding at?

Still looking at the above dates for Chicago for 3 rooms. The Downtown Millenium Grant Park zone just listed a *3.5 for $107 a night. Amenities include: Free Internet Smoke free Fitness Restaurant Business Center Laundry(self serve) High speed internet access Accessible for blind Accessible for deaf Accessible path of travel In room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll in shower Any thoughts on what it might be. The price in the area is the lowest I've seen for a *3.5. Thanks

We are ok with either zone. I check HOTWIRE daily but have been bidding with a limit of $120 on PRICELINE. 3.5+ in either zone would be fine but I am afraid to go to 3.5 in the Loop. I have seen Club Quarters come up and it looks like they only have one bed rooms. I know there is no guarantee anywhere but 2 beds are a strong preference.. I've got the bidding zones down pretty well. It is early but you never know

The Loop would be best but North would be ok too. Prefer being close to a subway station in the City/downtown. We have two people to a room. Thanks. Will update as things progress.

There is free internet. I missed that. Like to think I can get something a little cheaper but that wouldn't be bad. Still have time. Bid up to $120 for a 4* witout success.I use the PRICELINE link most of the time. A little inconsistent with HOTWIRE. Thanks. Will keep you posted.

Was open to several zones but preferred Midtown East, Midtown Central or Time Square. Started at $130 and went up in $5 increments. Got it at $150 minus $15 promo. Total cost about $350. Hotel gets great reviews and am looking forward to my stay. Almost forgot...got a counter at $172 when I bid $130 for Midtown East

My wife was in Alaska and needed a hotel for the one day. Took $60 on first bid for a 3*. Total was $75.She said the hotel was very nice. The only disappointment was no jacuzzi which she had hoped for after 10 days of camping.

I noticed that Hotwire changed its zones. What Used to be just TPA Westhore is now TPA North and TPA South.

Bid $25 for 10 day rental at TPA Airport. Priceline countered with $30/day and I took it. Total cost $434 with taxes and fees. Had a great price from Advantage on the Southwest site(pick up Fort Myers drop off Tampa) 8 days for $268 but plans changed. Cost a little more but I don't need to do 2 pickups and 2 dropoffs or look for a 2 day rental.

Not Sure if I should reply here or start new thread. Ended up bidding for *2.5 on PRICELINE in Cape Coral for 3/2-5/13. First bid at $58 got the Hampton Inn and Suites for $58. Did try lower in the past without success. Total cost $203. Looks like this may have been going for $60 on Hotwire. Not sure if same. Happy with bid!!. Did use BB PRICELINE link.

Tampa - TPA Airport Westshore.. Bid $45 then $48. Hyatt Place. Three(3)rooms. Have stayed here before and have always been pleased. Clean, comfortable and convenient. Larger rooms. Was hoping to get 3/3-5/1/13 as well but was not successfull at that rate. Total price $663.

I've stayed at the Hyatt Place a few times. The Kitchenette amenity would have told me it wasn't the Hyatt Place
