I searched Hotwire for a 4 to 5 star hotel in the French Quarter and it offered me one for $111.00 with the amenities I have listed below. Amenities listed were: Smoke Free Rooms,Fitness Center, Pool then when you clicked on "See All" it also had listed, restaurant, business center & High speed internet. I chose this then paid and it was Westin New Orleans at Canal Place. After I finished I went back and checked again. Now it is listing the same description but the price is $113 so if it is the same hotel it went up $2.00 I guess the prices will fluctuate. Rate $111.00 Tax/fee $ 23.23 Total $134.23

Happy Holidays The lowest rate on the hotel website is $199 plus tax so I feel like I got a great deal especially since it is New Years weekend and Sugarbowl in New Orleans that weekend :-)

I've stayed at the Sheraton several times also and it is a nice hotel. It is only a few blocks to the Riverwalk mall and Bourbon street if you are interested in either of those.

I have stayed at the Westin on Canal and it is a nice hotel. It is across from Harrahs Casino. It is very close to the Riverwalk Mall, Imax, Aquarium.

Are the dates still 8/8 through 8/11 ??? I don't see a 4* FRENCH QUARTER listed. Only 4* Downtown and Convention center.

ok it is 12:26am central time and the hotel is back on the hotwire list. It says 3* Downtown $54 amentities show Continental breakfast, pool, business center and internet. I have done this same search several times through out the day and this hotel has not shown all day until tonight. I am doing a search for 2 adults 8/13-8/15 on the HOTWIRE website. Last time it showed up it was for a search for 1 adult 1 child now it only shows up when I do 2 adults. Can anyone tell me what this mystery hotel is ?

Well there won't be any drinking going on so that part doesn't matter. I want to take my little girl to the Imax and to the Riverwalk mall. :)

I'm showing a 4.5 star in downtown which I am assuming is the Le Pavillion for $69 (regular rate $129.00) I'm showing a 4 star in French Quarter which looks like Astor Crowne Plaza for $59 (regular rate $107.10) I would appreciate any feedback on which hotel is more preferable and why. Thanks

I just checked and it isnt there this morning but I am still curious to what hotel that was???? I had not seen it in my previous checks.

I searched one adult one child. It had not came up previously when I had checked but it did last night. I haven't checked again this morning but if it does I still would like to know which hotel it is because of the complimentary breakfast and location.

I bid $69 for any 4* downtown. It was denied and a screen popped up that said I could retry immediately for $17 more. It accepted $86 and gave me Sheraton on Canal Street for the dates of Friday Jan 25 checking out on Sunday January 27th.
