It's also worth adding that the MGM has a much better pool area, if that's important to you.
Are condos that bad?
It's a question of price - nothing half decent is coming up at reasonable prices, yet. I'll keep looking.
Ok - any ideas with this one, guys:
3* Condo Near Strip East
Kitchen
Laundry (in room)
Pool
Internet
A/c
Fitness
24 Hr front desk
Kitchenette
$106 per night ($808.42 for the 7 nights) for 09/18-09/25?
Wait for one of the guys that run the site to confirm, but this looks like Treasure Island?
Honestly.
It's called the North Strip area and it includes a map.
A)Did you look at the map before booking and, more to the point,
B)does the hotel fall within the area the map signifies?
I'm guessing the answers are:
A ) No
B ) Yes
You got what you paid and asked for. Move on.
Okay, they booked this:
4* South Strip. 07/17-07/20 (three nights, checkout Sunday 20th). Amenities:
Casino
Pool
Business Centre
Golf Nearby
Spa Services
Fitness Centre
Restaurant
High spped Internet Access
Tennis Nearby.
$123 per night.
It was the MGM Grand. They are very happy! My friends followed the HOTWIRE link from this site, on my recommendation. Thank you.
I'm not sure they do, to be honest! It was the suite I was more interested in.
Are you talking about the MGM at $414 for the 3 nights? That is a fantastic deal (considering it's a Friday & Saturday night too) and that, of course, is where we are staying, too?
Aha, thanks for that. How far would you say it is from Mandalay Bay, what's the general opinion of the place & do they operate shuttles to The Strip?
Some friends are looking to stay in Vegas that weekend, and I've just seen this property:
Suite
Kitchen
A/C
Pool
1 Bedroom Suite
Free Parking
Fitness Centre
A Tripadvisor rating of 3.5, from 180+ reviews.
Any ideas what this property may be and how far is it from, let's say, the Luxor (I'm not too familiar past Mandalay Bay, to be honest).
All help greatly appreciated.
I'm fairly sure it's all suite/condo, no casino. It's a block back from Fashion Show Mall - it is quite a walk. But I'm sure the hotel itself is superb!
Andy,
We booked from 16-21 July (2 adults, 2 kids) with those amenities etc and it was the MGM. As thereuare says, with much more authority than I, it could be somewhere else, but it's certainly the best guess.
Here's my Hotwire Las Vegas Purchase thread.
This is very helpful. Did you upgrade at the front desk when you arrived or before? Thanks.
Upon arrival - we had been to LA and come back for the final three days. As we checked in, I just asked if there were any upgrades available. The response was "Yes, but it will be $25 + tax". I tried to barter it down, but she wouldn't budge. As it was, a futher $27 per night for that room and that view was a good deal, we thought. I'm looking to do the same again this year (but will try the $20 trick first, most certainly!).
Not sure, but it would be their basic room (I believe) which is (rather stupidly) called a 'deluxe' room. We stayed at The Flamingo last year - the basic rooms were fine, but we upgraded to a GO Luxury room for the last three days (that's a GO room, with a view) and it was worth the money. However, it did cost us $27 per night to do so, booked via the front desk. You may be able to get it cheaper (I'm certainly going to try the '$20 trick' this year!), but that's something you have totake into account. We got a fantastic view of the Bellagio fountains, from the 22nd floor, by the way.
The pool area is superb - one of the top four in Vegas (I'd suggest). There are five diffferent pools in total, with a waterslide and waterfall area. It is surrounded by a wonderful wildlife habitat area, that is lovely to walk around when you want a little peace and quiet!
On Hotwire there's a 3* Near Strip South property going for $95 per night (7 noghts, 18 Sept, check out 25th) - amenities:
Casino
Fitness Center
Restaurant(s)
Business Center
High-speed Internet Access
Golf Nearby
Tripadisor rating is 4.5, from 480+ reviews.
Any idea what this may be and, if so, how far is it from the Strip, please?
GULP!! I'm glad it was right!!! :)
Well, my stay includes a weekend (where the price probably doubles) and is for 2 adults & 2 kids.
What I'm saying is it is exactly the same amenities etc as my hotel yesterday (including the TripAdvisor ratings)- and it's the week following mine. That would suggest that the best guess is it's The MGM, but it's not my site, so you have to understand I'm not an 'expert' like the guys that run this site! And, in the end, it's your money and your risk, of course - just as it was mine yesterday.
Hope this helps?
If you look at the end of this thread, I booked this yesterday:
It was the MGM Grand. However, I'd just wait for the other guys to confirm - I wouldn't want to misguide you!
Couldn't wait - details as above. $99 per night - $544.49 total incl taxes & recovery charges- (5 nights) July 16-July 21 (check out), 2 adults, 2 kids. That includes a Friday & Saturday night!
It was the MGM Grand!! :)
Again, my sincerest thanks to you for your efforts here - we've ended with a phenomenal deal at the MGM - the same room on their website is currently $1299 + taxes etc. I don't need to say how much we've saved over our 15 nights in Vegas because of your site, but it's many hundreds of $'s! This is such a fantastic site - thank you.
Needless to say, I used the HOTWIRE link you provided.
Just to be sure - it couldn't be the Westin, could it? As much as you are able to be certain, obviously.
Okay - we've already got the refundable PH.
Just looked on Hotwire again, same dates, 2 adults, 2 kids, and saw this:
4* South Strip
Casino
Fitness Center
Pool(s)
Restaurant(s)
Business Center
High-speed Internet Access
Golf Nearby
Tennis Nearby
Spa Services
Rated at 4 out of 5 on Trip Advisor from 1700+ reviews.
It is also a 'best value'.
This is coming out at $99 per night ($544.49 overall for the five nights).
This is The MGM Grand, is it not?
For just two adults? they're still there on mine?!
This is about $100 less than booking direct through The Flamingo, and about $200 less than Ballys. Trouble is, I don't think they'd be overly impressed with Ballys. And, at least if they book through The flamingo site, it's refundable.
Hello there - I'm looking to ID this hotel for a friend, who's looking to stay:
3.5* Centre Strip
Amenities:
Casino
Pool
Business Centre
Golf Nearby
Spa Services
Fitness Centre
Restaurant
Internet
Twenis nearby
This has no Trip Advisor rating.
It is $134 per night.
Thanks.
Thanks for that thereuare : those conferences would push prices up, so I may have to advise them of the worst.
Still, they saved about $300 on their 3 nights in San Fran (thanks again) so that may cushion the blow... :)

If it had a Golf icon, it would fit Treasure Island, I think?
Best wait until one of the guys that run the site come along.
