  1. 3* Holiday Inn Greenbelt $85......09/20/08-09/22/08 Holiday Inn Greenbelt 7200 Hanover Drive Greenbelt, Maryland 20770 Check in Date: Saturday, September 20, 2008 Check out Date: Monday, September 22, 2008 Booked August 21, 2008 $85/night x 2 nights = $170.00 Taxes and Service fees: $ 31.28 Total Charges= $ 201.28 First Day Started bidding 3* @ $55 - not accepted Added Camp Springs @ $60 - not accepted Next Day Started Bidding 3* @ $65 - not accepted Added Camp Springs @ $70 - not accepted Next Day Started Bidding 3* @ $75 - not accepted Added Camp Springs @ $80 - not accepted Next Day Started Bidding 3* @ $85 - accepted This is a weekend with a Redskins home game @ FedEx field (which is why I am going to DC) so I knew the rates would be more than ususal. I wanted the Raddison Largo, but knew because of the game that wouldn't happen. Going rate at the Holiday Inn for these nights is $144 and it is only 7.1 miles from FedEx field.
  2. I know, I realized after I posted that I messed up the dates. My actual Dates - 02/20/08-02/22/08 Sorry for the confusion.
  3. Troutguy, Looks like there are too many 3* LAX options available to be able to tell which one Hotwire is going to give you. I looked on priceline and they quote 8 different 3*'s. It looks to me like the 4* LAX hotels are going almost as cheap on priceline as the 3*'s. I know your dates are closing in, but I would give the 4*'s a chance first. (you most likely will get the Sheraton Gateway, but you never know) Good Luck.
  4. Savings Barn --> Priceline First bid $50 - more than 8 days ago. Bid twice a day adding Lawndale each time for over a week. Winning bid $130 Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica Santa Monica & Marina Del Rey 530 West Pico Boulevard Santa Monica, California 90405 310-399-9344 Check in Date: Feb 25, 2008 Check out Date: Feb 27, 2008 A little bit more than I wanted to spend, especially with parking going to run me $50+ for two days, but the Sheraton website rate for this room was $279. I was very surprised to get the Sheraton, because of all the priceline 3*'s in Santa Monica this is by far the most expensive. I also continually checked HOTWIRE and they would show a rate of $139 for my dates which I strongly believe was the Holiday inn. Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $130.00 Subtotal: $260.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $46.02 Total Charges*: $306.02
  5. I am currently trying to bid 3* in the Santa Monica area and the Hotwire price is $139 My dates are 02/25/08-02/27/08 I started my bidding @ $50 and over quite a few days @ two bids a day I am up to $120. I haven't decided if I will go higher or look somewhere else. Good luck with your bidding.
