Looking for a 3* for 9 days in San Diego. Goofing around on Priceline it appears I can get a 3 star for $55 in Downtown and Old Town zones. I believe the Old Town Zone will be Humphrys. Downtown zone - there is a good chance I will be stuck with Holiday inn downtown. I saw someone got the Marriot downtown for $50. That would be ideal. Any guess if its to early to bid and if Holiday Inn downtown is the likely hotel for $55 in downtown. thanks.

Thanks for the quick response. I would like to stick around a 70 a day budget preferably for a 4 star. Can do 3 stars but would prefer to pay a little less. We are 4 traveling - 2 adults and 2 small children. I do not plan to rent a car so parking is not necessary. If I do I plan to return it the same day. The rates are quoted above are refundable since Orbitz is stating they have no charge for hotel changes or cancel fees. Parc55 is a little more that what I originally quoted for 2 beds ($113 I believe). any bidding advise or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you all for your help. We decided to stay locally this year. I have stayed at this hotel in the past and have disregarded all the reviews. We have always had a great time there.

Do not know if its too early to bid on these dates. Orbitz has Parc55 at 99 and Hilton at 97 a night. I do not know if anyone has gotten these hotels at less than 70 a night. Thanks.

Started at $63, using free rebids won at $75. After reading reviews I'm pleased with the result. I was thinking I would end up with the Hilton which would have been o.k. Cheapest room on the website is $151. Thanks
