  2. It was horrible. Would definitely never go there again. They were not able to give us two separate beds - instead of this, we had to sleep in one small king bed. Also, the hotel is very close to the Greyhound station in Billings ... definitely not the best place in town. Avoid under all circumstances.
  3. Started with 36$ and ticked the areas "Tech South" and "Tech North". After around 10 unsuccessful biddings with the same amount and areas, I have added the additional zone "Stapleton" and increased to 37$. This offer was then accepted. Have used the PRICELINE link.
  4. Amenities: Pool, Laundry, High-Speed Internet This property is not yet on your Hotwire - list.
  5. Used the PRICELINE link Have ticked "Cottonwood" and "West Valley". Started with 31 Dollars, then daily increased my offer by 1$. Finally accepted at 36$. This hotel seems to be a good place to explore the ski resorts in the Cottonwood canyons.
  6. Used the PRICELINE link. Started with 35$ and this was accepted right away. Looks like a very nice property.
  7. have used the PRICELINE link Looks like 42$ is the bottom line for this property
  8. Have used the PRICELINE link ... Started again with 35 $, and then increased daily by 1$. My 42$ bid then got accepted. The hotel reviews are not always the best, but we arrive in SLC very late at night with our flight from Europe ... so all we need is a quiet and clean room. Let's see ...
  9. Have used the PRICELINE link ... Started with 38$ and ticked "Downtown" and "Convention Center". After around 15 bids, the finally accepted my 42 $ offer.

  12. Hey - I just got home from my trip to Berlin. I was staying in the "Intercontinental Berlin" ... and I loved it. The hotel is a true 5* hotel. Check-In was very easy and straight forward. I arrived at 9am in the morning, and it was no problem to get the room so early. I requested a toom with twin beds by phone a few days in advance. They had this stored in their system ... and I got it right away. When I entered the room, I noticed that they gave me a smoking room, which I did not like. The concierge who brought up the luggage called directly to the front desk ... and they immediately changed me to a non-smoking room. Excellent service. By the way ... the name "priceline.com" was never mentioned during the entire stay. The room was very beautiul. It had two beds (as requested), a big working desk and a nice sitting area with a large sofa. The bathroom was huge. Everything was very nice decorated, with free cofffe, bathrobes and slippers and a nice amenity kit. The hotel itself is a 10-minute walk away from the central train/subway station "Berlin Zoologischer Garten". In the morning I had breakfast. It's in buffet style ... and one of the best breakfast buffets I've ever seen. The price is high ... 26 Euros, which is almost 40 dollars. But it's definitely worth it. The wellness area is also very nice. With a very beautiful indoor swimming pool and hot tub. In the evening, they dim the light and put candles around the pool. They offer fresh fruit and newspapers for free. It's easy to stay there for 2 or 3 hours, reading newspapers and eating grapes. The sauna and the steambath cost an additional 15 Euros. The swimming pool and the hot tub are for free. To summarize: This hotel is excellent and definitely worth the money.
  13. Offered 51$ with "South Strip" only ---> REJECTED Increased offer to 61$ and added "North Strip" and "Fremont St." ---> ACCEPTED ............ I have tried for quite a while now ( about two months) with a maximum budget of 65 dollars (w/o taxes). Prefered areas were north/south strip and Fremont St. No successful bid until today ... looks like there's something going on in Vegas at the above dates.
  14. Hey, thanks for that quick reply. I have written priceline.com an e-mail about this issue. Their reply came two hours later, which I think is very fast and more than customer-friendly. Anyways ... they've told me that they will check internally first and that they will reply on this issue within the next two business days. I agree on the fact that I "could give the hotel a try" ... but on the other hand, I think that there's a reason why a hotel gets 1.5 or 2 stars. We'll see ... I'll keep you updated. Take care.
  15. Hi, I have booked the "Best Tahoe West Inn" via Priceline today. Priceline rates this property with 2 stars. If you look at Expedia.com or Hotels.com, you see that they rate this hotel with 1.5 stars only. This really sucks, because I expect a star level which I abviously don't get. Can I expect priceline.com to cancel this reservation ? Has anyone experience with that ? I am absolutely unhappy with 1.5 stars ... a motel6 would be a better choice. Take care.
  16. Started with 2.5* and 41 $ ---> Rejected Reduced to 2* and increased to 46$ --- Accepted Started with the PRICELINE link from savingsbarn.com I think that this 2* property is not in your Priceline-Nevada hotel list. By the way ... does anyone have experience with this motel ? The website looks grotty ... but it's just for a night.
  17. followed the same strategy as in previous "Fresno" posts Started with 49$ for "Fresno Downtown" area --- got rejected added "airport" and "fresno west" and increased to 54$ --- got accepted
  18. Hi, I have tried for quite a while to get a 4 or 5* hotel in Vegas with the following settings Check in: 04/28/2007 Check out: 04/29/2007 Maximum bid: 100$ Regions: Northern and southern strip area I soon realized, that 100$ won't get me a 5* hotel, so I have downgraded the star rating to 4*. Previous posts show that the 4* Planet Hollywood had successful bids starting at 46 $ Any idea, why I am not successful ? Am I too early ? Or a convention ? Anyone who knows more ? -Philip-
  19. have started with 58 dollars first ... Priceline asked me to increase by 6 dollars. Seems to be a good deal.
  20. Took me quite a while to get this. A bid every day, without changing the star level and the price. After 31 bids and days it got accepted. This seems to be the bottom line .. Sometimes you need a long breath.
  21. 140 Dollars might sound a lot ... but due to the strong Euro this is quite a good deal. 140 dollars was my first bid, and it got immediately accepted, so I dont't think that 140 dollars is the bottom line ... would try to start with 110$ first. Travel period: February, 21 to February, 23
