  1. Bid and received this hotel for the 1st leg of our trip to HHI. $30 for a 2*. Their website listed rates of $89. When I arrived (late around midnight) and saw the lobby I thought that i might have found another gem as it was impressive looking. Unfortunately the rooms that we saw were not nearly as nice to say the least. I had requested 2 beds non smoking and they had reserved one for me, but upon opening the room I found that it had not been cleaned that day. The front desk clerk had no more non smoking rooms available. My son has asthma so non smokingwas important. The security guard showed my wife 3 other smoking rooms and they found one that had not been occupied the previous night. The rooms were old and dreary. The mattresses sagged and the linnens/ blankets were quite worn. I would not recommend this place to anyone bidding 2*. From my research I thing it is rated 3* by Hotwire. Fortunately I did not pay full price or I would have been really disappointed. After this experience I will try to avoid bidding 2* in the future.
  2. The best experience at a 3* hotel that I have stayed at. And only $28 Upon arriving at the hotel I attempted to get a non smoking room with 2 beds at check-in. None were available. They only had king rooms. Since I had my 2 kids with me I asked if they had anything with a pull out sofa. The clerk offered to upgrade me to an Executive King for $10 more than my internet rate. I gladly accepted and she ended up not charging me the fee.( not sure if it was an oversight or not) The service at this hotel was exceptional. We had dinner at the restaurant and although the prices were a bit higher than off property again the service was amazing. The executive King room was infinitely better than the Holiday -Inn 2* room that we had stayed in the night before(review to follow Washington PA) I don't think you can go wrong with this one.
  3. Started at $20 and worked up to $40 had to wait 72 hrs. the price could be $36-$39 as I went up in $5 increments
  4. I saw 3* on Hotwire in the Pittsburgh South Washington Zone for $38. Priceline's zones are not quite the same, so I went for Washington, PA and was successful
  5. Saw some great reviews and was able to get this. 1st Bid $25- Counter offer $31 Since there are over 10 rebid combinations I went up by $1 increments. Accepted on 4th bid at $28
  6. Hi Thanks I did try that match and thought that it was the radisson, but I was not sure if hotwire had any other 3.5* hotels in the area with the same amenities. I would hate to pay $172 per night for some other hotel and not be able to get the double the difference.
  7. I just returned from this hotel from a 3 night priceline stay. Mar 12 -15th. Had 2 double non smoking on the 8th floor. All beds in this hotel have recently been upgraded. Room was ok. Arm chair had a rip in one of the arms, and should be moved to vacuum as we found a couple of toys and some cheesey's underneath. room was quite dry causing a lot of static. early check-in was no problem. Ihad made this reservation nearly 1 year in advance using a bonus link so I paid $22/night($32 with bonus) At that rate I have nothing to complain about. I would definitely stay again even at the $54 paid by the previous poster, but not for the $125 price on their website. I liked the location, easy walk to ACC and Hockey Hall of Fame or any of the Theatres. A great 3* in T.O. I liked it better than the Courtyard. Valet Parking $33cad /night too steep so I parked across the street.
  8. If someone can confirm that it is the Radisson then I could take advantage of the Double the Difference guarantee for this weekend?
  9. Bid up to $45 for a 3* rejected Bid $35 for a 2* got a counter offer $9 higher added Southwest zone and bid $36 with success. We will be going to six flags
  10. the 4.5* is the Mirage as seen on Hotwire's Packages. they also have Bellegio as a 5* package
  11. Here is an amenities list Las Vegas Strip 4.5* This hotel features the following amenities: Casino A full-service casino -- including slot/video machines, sports betting, bingo, card games and dice games (depending on state laws) -- is accessible from the hotel lobby. Restaurant(s) At least one restaurant is located on the hotel premises. Pool(s) Hotel features at least one pool area. (Note: This amenity offering may be seasonal. Please check hours/availability directly with the hotel.) Fitness Center Hotel features exercise equipment. Business Center Hotel offers guests access to business equipment/services. Tennis Nearby Tennis court(s) within walking distance or a short drive from the hotel. Spa Services Hotel offers spa services on the premises. Maybe it's the Monte Carlo or Paris?
  12. Has anyone been able to fgure out what the 4.5* Hotwire hotel is on the vegas strip. I tried using the vacation option but no 4.5* has appeared yet as a part of a vacation package.
  13. Hotwire was definitely lacking 5* availability wed/thurs for many dates other than mine, but i am glad that there are some out there. As for the Venetian, it is pretty well known from other sites that their best rates are available to priceline within 7days of checkin. Priceline does have access earlier but never for their lowest rate of $79/nite
  14. Got this last month using bonus link from Priceline. Going to six flags
  15. $50 was the best that I could do. I had tried $45 using free rebids. I rejected the $58 counter offer.
  16. Just the hotel that I was looking for as I had friends staying as well
  17. I bought this through Hotwire, intending to go fo Double the Difference as I had found several sites that offered my same dates for less. My total cost was $1441 including fees and taxes I got the maximum allowable Double the Difference refund of $1000 Giving me a net cost of $441 about $88/night. This would have been a best case scenario using Priceline within 7 days of check-in. Needless to say I am quite pleased that I was able to get this now. I did have a $65/night backup at Treasure Island The thing that I found interesting is that Hotwire does not offer 5* in Vegas since giving me my refund. Maybe they are adjusting their rates so that others can't take advantage as I did. They do offer a 4.5* though. Any Idea what it might be?
