  1. Yes downtown, sorry I forgot that there were 2 other zones. No first bid was $30, $34 also rejected.
  2. Even better than the $59 72 hour sale rate for Wyndham by Request members. I won't get the perks but the savings should more than cover it.
  3. Unfortunately Hotwire over rates some properties. Did you try Priceline first? Pricelines ratings are usually more accurate. You have a couple of choices. 1. Complete your stay and make a complaint to hotwire if the hotel does not meet their 3* requirements. or 2. Bite the bullet and book at a different hotel(maybe through priceline) I know it will cost more but if it makes your stay more enjoyable then it is probably worth it.
  4. Bid $50 Counter Offer at $64 Waited and rebid $55 accepted
  5. Canadian Visa Cards now accepted. I just tried a Visa that previously did not work and it went through.
  6. Started bidding at $30 $35 then accepted at $38. I bid this for a friend who had a reservation at Best Western for approx $100 per night. If all goes well for him he will be getting a Mastercard so he can do his own bidding.
  7. By checking the packages for your dates, it might be the Aladdin as all of your listed amenities match
  8. One exception to the above rule is the Sheraton downtown Toronto, which is now rated as 4* by priceline but remains an easily identifiable 3.5* on Hotwire.
  9. Can someone edit the title from Mid-Size to Compact? thanks
  10. I was curious about that Hilton Garden Inn post as I thought Priceline rated it a 2.5*. I see that the post was changed to Hotwire. This booking was for friends(my department head). So far they are quite happy as the Hyatt rate was $139 plus tax.
  11. Interesting article, but I don't think Hotwire has specific 4.5* or 5* rates. I have seen many times when the lower star rating property is priced greater than the higher star rating property
  12. Was given $9 counter offer at both $33 and $35 bids before $36 was accepted
  13. I had a backup full size at thrifty for total of $160, Just me and my two 11 year olds so I bid for a compact and was successful for a total of $121 Only drawback is that National is off airport and Thrifty is in the airport.
  14. Bid this last Wednesday. I was pretty sure that $38 would be good. Started at $30 and used free rebids to get up to $37
  15. Hi I bid $60 for the 3* and was countered with $77, I used free rebids at $65 and $69 before the $70 was accepted
  16. Have been looking at this area for a while. 4* rejected up to $95 3* had been rejected upto $80 until now. A 4* is listed on Hotwire($83) but it is not The Hyatt(i checked the ameneties on the vacations). I think that it is the Quorum even though it is only a 3* on priceline
  17. I believe the Wyndham harbour Island is now rated as 4*. I recently saw it on Hotwire vacations
  18. Looking for 1 night on Mar 19 2005. Hotwire shows 4* for $97 Priceline rejected upto $95. Web rates are $169 at Hyatt and $179 for Marriott Ren. Prefer to pay around $70 for 4* and upto $50 for 3*. It might be too early but I like to plan ahead.
  19. Bid this a while back. I tried for a 3* but no luck upto $52 It is the first weekend of the School spring break. Bid $58 for 4* and accepted. Stayed last year at the sheraton for about $25 per night after Bonus Money applied. I am sure I will never see that again, with the price of 3* going up
