  4. Recently downgraded from a 4* but should be a 3 1/2*, nice hotel, great location but quiet rooms (ask for high floor) and comfy beds. Service is a little lacking but that's the norm in New O since Katrina.
  5. Stayed here for $79/night during the weekend on April 4/5. Has been downgraded from a 4* to 3* recently. I think it is a solid 3.5* and best location - right on Canal @ Bourbon street, rooms were quiet though. Service is a little lacking but it is all over the city as there is still a shortage of workers. Beds were very comfortable and room was clean. Will definitely stay here again.
  6. This was our third time to stay at this property. Last year, I believe we paid about $79/night via Hotwire. This was a busy weekend and we could not find any deals, so we did a prepaid rate of $119/night (weekend). This is a good base if you plan to visit different parts of the wine country. It's only a 5-10 minute drive to Santa Rosa which has a few upscale restaurants, couple of good brewpubs. The hotel lobby is nice, small but neat bar with flat screen TV, D - the bartender takes care of you. The rooms are in need of some attention. While still OK, the A/C did not work very well and was a litlle noisy, the small in room refrigerator is noisy and cycles on and off - we unplugged it. Shower was a little noisy and had fine line between hot/cold. Other than these few issues, it is a decent place to stay and much lower priced than other area or wine country properties.
  7. This used to be the Dallas Wyndham. Recently renovated, very nice rooms, flat screen TV, nice and what a deal!
  8. April 8, $70 shows fitness, pool, business center, internet, laundry. Might be the Sheraton Safari?
  9. No smoking, fitness, restaurant, business, internet
  10. Ended up booking a room at the Alden - really good deal directly from hotel. It's a nice 4* hotel. We decided knowing exact location downtown was important for this trip.
  11. Looking at a 4* downtown Austin hotel for February 13; $119 fitness, pool, restaurant, intenet, business; listed best value. Thinking it is the Hilton. The Hyatt used to be listed as a 4* but does not look like anytime recently.
  12. Looking at the following for downtown Houston: 4* - Boutique, fitness, restaurant, internet - $149 (Lancaster?) 3.5* - Fitness, pool, restaurant, internet, business - $129 3* - Fitness, retaurant, internet - $102
  13. 3.5*Dallas Park Cities - Radisson Central; Jan. 19 - $53; Fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, internet
  14. I have stayed here 3 times over the past 6 months and I think it is worthy of a 3 1/2 star rating. The only compliants I have seen have been on service, but the rooms were nice, clean, comfortable and great location. One of the best deals I have found in the quarter.
