  2. Ameneties matched up fairly well with the Dobson on the Hotwire list so I felt confident with what I was getting Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Seems like a great value considering the high pricing in Phoenix for March 2012. This property includes free breakfast buffet, free wireless internet, free parking.
  3. nice rate you got, I've been searching for Mar 7-12 and got up to $85 including the zone the Crescent Hotel is in...nothing accepted
  4. Started bidding at $41; failed but was prompted for $51 so I knew I was close...added Madison East zone and was rejected for $43, added Madison South and was accepted for $45 used the PRICELINE quick quote link near the top of the page

  8. starting bidding @ $40, then $45, and finally $48 used the PRICELINE link
  9. I'm staying in the Phoenix area during that same time frame, my winning bid was more than 2 times what I spent 2 years ago...for some reason that last week in March is super busy with the end of spring break + MLB spring training wrapping up
  10. spring training baseball is exactly the reason i'm going, was here 2 years ago and was able to Priceline win less than half of what I paid this time I guess the economy is doing better huh
  11. 2nd day of bidding today (unsuccessful on 02/15/2011) starting at $80 for 3.5* in North Scottsdale zone. Incremented $5 and added various zones per usual. Because resort is automatically added this ended up being the winner. I double checked and this zone does not have a 3.5* & greater so it definitely fits as a resort win. Phoenix is crazy expensive the end of March for some reason. Used the PRICELINE link.
  12. Thanks for writing Ben! I don't think i've ever had a property owner correspond on here :) I appreciate the offer, unfortunately, I had a bid work out for me on Priceline so I won't be able to try the Clarendon this time. Definitely is a visually appealing place, glad boutique hotels like yours are out there! moderators- per the above paragraph, I didn't pursue the Hotwire bid any further
  13. I found a 3* in Central Phoenix which lists amenities as: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access, Tennis Nearby Recommended by 80% of Hotwire Customers. PRICE: $78 Per night Trying to get the Clarendon Hotel, however, the amenities don't match up perfectly to the Hotwire hotel list... Any help is appreciated!
  14. I don't need to start a new topic, just wanted to see what strategy was implemented on this bid win
  15. can you post a summary of your bidding strategy? I'm in the same meatgrinder trying to find a hotel for March 25-29 as I am down there for spring training baseball...just went through a bidding failure yesterday
  16. correction, the hotel in the title should say Madison Concourse Hotel sorry!
  17. started at $57, rejected. added Black Hawk zone and retried for $62, rejected. added Spearfish zone and retried for $65, rejected. added Custer zone and retried @ $70 for the win. seems 70 is the magic number in the Black Hills over Labor Day weekend used the PRICELINE link!
