  1. Chase Suite Rockford *** 1380 Piccard Drive, Rockville, MD, 20850 Smoke Free Rooms Complimentary Breakfast Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities 44.00/nite + 13.37 tax/fess One night, this is for the bedroom part of the suite and not the suite itself so you get what you pay for. Thin walls, can feel the bed shake when a door is closed on the outside, older redone property, bathtub needs replaced or refinsihed, hard stains and a chunk missing. Had to call the front desk about a loud group on the floor and girls next door talking and giggling and whatnot. Desk clerk said he would "definitley" check on it, acted like he already knew what was going on, noise issues have not stopped. After check-in got a call from the desk clerk that said my CC was declined for incidentals, called the card company who reported the card was never ran, went back to the desk, and the card works after they re-capture it, I suspect the desk clerk never captured it in the first place. I would not reccomend selecting this property. But I did use the HOTWIRE link :)
  2. Desert Rose Resort, a steal at 34.00, website at 94-129/nite. Reviews are mostly positive, hope to have a pleasant stay. This hotel features the following amenities: Suite Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Kitchenette
  3. Trump is offering that Saturday for free via i4vegas if that sheds any light on the subject.
  4. I would jump on the price found above, 143 checked the calender as I will be there again the next weeked after you, and over 30k people in town for conventions on one or more of the dates you listed, which may contribute to the price. I have often bid for the most expensive or, busiest day, whether the first or last, then turned around and bid for the less busy days and came out better, but beware, that doesn't always work out the way you want, meaning, getting the same hotel... http://lvcva.com/meetings/convention-calendar.jsp
  5. This is a nice property, I have been inside and the interior couldn't be nicer as the theme they are going for is old vegas meets new vegas. Keep in mind, you have a monorail stop less than a block away and you can find coupons for a $9 24hr ride pass. If you don't want to rent a car, this will save you $$ in cab fare to the strip as with tip can run $10-12 depending on traffic and where you want to go.
  6. This is a Marriott Managed, but not owned, property per the sign in the lobby. It takes no more time to deliver the paper to the doors as it does the express checkouts, you still have to walk the halls so why not do both. I always instructed my staff to deliver both at the same time, usually 5am, no one ever complained. I can tell you that most paper delivery services will deliver the papers to the doors for an extra fee, all you have to do is provide them with a list of rooms to deliver too and it's done, my guess is they chose to ax that 150.00 per month or it's just being lazy, they did, however, have a nice sign in the lobby telling you to pick up your free paper, lol.
  7. Residence Inn, Henderson, Green Valley, was a nice property, clean rooms plenty of amenities, wouldn't let me check-in before 3:00, showed up at 2:00 and they told me no rooms were available, that they were sold out the night before. When I arrived at 3:15 an apparent shift change was in progress and an obvious 2 new employees, one of which wasn't in any sort of uniform. Took them 15 minutes to check me in as the desk clerk didn't understand how to check in a PRICELINE guest, as a former Marriott manager, I walked her though the process and explained to her how it worked...crazy. Website says paper delivered to your door, nope, had to pick it up in the lobby, only thing they delivered to my door was the bill, haha. Has free hot breakfast too!
  8. Used my bonus cash and placed bid for 49.00 which when they added their 10.00 per night yielded a final bid of 59.00 per night in South Strip on PRICELINE. This doesn't include their 2.00/day amenity/energy fee or whatever it is.
