I like Quickbook, they have some hotels that you can cancel. It's easy to book and cancel via their webpage.

Thank you for your quick reply I'd love to stay Downtown (great area and lovely 4 * hotels), but it will be intresting to explore new areas of NYC, and its actually equal where i stay. It's just me travelling so i'm flexsible. My back up is Jazz in the City hostel at UWS, I have a single double bedroom with ensuite bath. The price is 60 usd + tax each night, so that price is unbeatable - I don't have to high expectations to that price though. My max is 150 USD, but I'll be happy if I can manage to get it cheaper. I'm ready to start bidding right now! :)
