I was able to get the 4* Omni William Penn at $181. Thanks for your help!
I had asked for help this weekend earlier in the year, but ended up booking directly through Marriott, when I found their rates cheaper than Hot.wire's. The Hotwire rates are now cheaper than what I have booked, so I'd like to see if you could offer your best guess on the following Downtown Pittsburgh hotels:
4*, $183: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
3.5*, $180: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
I would guess the Omni William Penn and the Wyndham Grand, based on previous wins, but I just want to get your thoughts/guesses.
Thank you!
We decided that it would be financially better for us to just stay May 2nd - May 3rd. The rates on Hotwire for that night were more expensive than I was able to find on hotel's direct sites. I ended up booking the Marriott City Center directly through Marriott.com. Thank you however, for providing me with your best guess. I will continue to use Hot.wire when it is advantageous for me to do so.
I am planning another trip to Pittsburgh May 1 - 3, 2015 for the Pittsburgh Marathon. We are running in the Half Marathon race and would prefer a downtown hotel. I was surprised to see there are pretty low rates being offered on Hotwire as compared to current retail rates, so i'm hoping you can help me identify the three below.
4*, $178: This hotel was not listed on the Easy View of the Bidding Helper, so I can only provide the ameneties that were listed after clicking Book Now and then See More. They are: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower.
These next two were listed on the Easy View, although prices were slightly off between the regular Hotwire tab:
4*, $164: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking
3*, $153: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
I would have to guess the $178 is the Omni William Penn, because the ameneties are similar to what I booked earlier today for 1/22-1/23. I'm thinking maybe the Westin Convention Center for the $164 one, but that just surprises me that it would be on Hotwire, when most of the Marathon pre-race festivities are occuring at the Convention Center. I'm totally unsure about the 3*. Any help you can provide with all three would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
I was finally able to see the second 4*.. I ended up going with your guess for the Omni. The Renaissance would have been quite a walk from Consol Energy Center. I was really hoping for the Westin Convention Center, but didn't want to chance it. Thanks for all your help and answers to questions. The final price came in at $82 (after the current $10 promotion) and with these amenities: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessibility, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
When I use your HOTWIRE link right now, I am still only getting the 3* and the one 4* with Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, and Roll-in shower for $96. If I search using the HOTWIRE tab on the BiddingHelper link, I'm getting the same but for $99. I am NOT seeing the other 4* that you believe would be the Reanissance. Why is that? I know I don't want to stay at the Omni, but would definitely take a chance on the one you think is the Renaissance. Please Help!!
Hmmmmm...using your BiddingHelper link, all I am seeing is a 4* downtown with Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower for now $96 and a 3* with Free breakfast, Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower for $106. I'm not seeing one that you beliee is the Renaissance (which I would be happy with!). Am I missing something? Do you have a guess for either or both of the above?
I will definitely be sure to report all successes in the future. Thank you!
I followed up with my previous Pittsburgh thread. Sorry, I thought when I had noted then that I wouldn't be trying for a hotel in that area after you made your guess, that would be enough to close the thread out.
I tried my current search again using your BiddingHelper link, and the Hotwire Easy View tab (definitely much easier thank you!). I found the 4* for $92 with Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower. Please help me identify.
The purpose of this trip is to attend a concert at Consol Energy Center. I am interested in staying downtown so that I will not need to travel 90 minutes home late at night. The price of $92 is much cheaper than 'regular' retail rates, so if you are able to help identify the hotel, I will most likely be booking using Hotwire.
Thank you for your time!
After your guess in this zone, I decided against trying my luck in the North Hills. I ended up trying for downtown after seeing a win from another user travelling on dates close to mine. I got the 3.5* Doubletree Pittsburgh City Center with Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access for $89. I didn't bother to post the win since the other user had and like I said, the dates were almost identical. Thank you.
I am looking to travel to Pittsburgh 1/22/2015 - 1/23/2015 and would like help identifying the following:
Downtown Pittsburgh

Fitness center
Restaurant(s)
Business center
Internet access
Accessible for hearing impaired
Accessible path of travel
In-room accessibility
Accessible bathroom
Roll-in shower

I'm sorry, I didn't realize there were more amenities to see after clicking Book Now. Yes all of those were listed. After reading reviews for LaQuinta, I will not be booking here. Thanks for your time.
I did not end up booking a trip to Baltimore, but appreciate your help.

The price is now $81, but all other details are the same. Thank you.
The City Center does not have an indoor pool. At least its website only indicates and outdoor pool. What do you think?
