Used the PRICELINE link on Better Bidding and following in the footsteps of a previous poster and bid $150 for MTE 4* and got the W Hotel first up. All-up charge for three nights = $ 550.89 with option to extend. The W's rooms may be small but then so is the price for a top NY Location !!! Helluva deal !
Please advise - what is "Bonus Cash" that Steaknife referred to above? Where do I get my hands on some? I wouldn't mind staying at Four Points for some of the same dates as Steaknife but I do not understand: he said he bid $132.50 but then also said he paid "$130 + $25 bonus cash". That is $155, no? Anyway I just tried at $135 for 3.5 star in Chelsea but no luck !
Using the PRICELINE link on this site and relying on info from a previous post I bid $43 for Redondo / Manhattan Beach for 1/9 to 1/10 (one night) for two rooms and got Marriott Residence Inn Manhattan Beach first up for the two rooms. Bargain! Sorry price / stay info is not on the second line. I put it all on the first line but it did not appear and I could not include it in after posting as editor would not let me.
Hi, I need 2 rooms for 2 adults and 3 kids for NY for 12/28 to 12/30. This works for me with two rooms with 2 queen beds in each. Hotwire show a 4* at $269 in mid town west featuring following icons: nonsmoking / fitness / restaurant/ biz center / hi speed internet. Any ideas which hotel? compared to icons on trip advisor but could not figure. Also am I guaranteed I can accommodate all my family? How does one deal with a family visit to NY? --- most hotels only allow 2 in a room !!! Thanks Peter
Using the BB PRICELINE link and the info from past bidders I bid $39 for two rooms and was accepted at ALOFT hotel first up for a total cost for 2 rooms of $96.50 all up. What's not to like?
Used better bidding link to PRICELINE then bid $128 for 4 star and rejected. Dropped to 3.5 star and $ 121 bid + tax accepted. An expensive result I think, but still....
Using the Better Bidding PRICELINE link, I submitted a $99 bid that was accepted first up. All up $121 incl tax and fees. Since first bid was accepted I am not sure if I should be happy or not???!?!?!?! :) :)
Ooops. Sorry. Checkout date is 1/12/08 i.e. Saturday. I am paying $86 per nite for Thursday 1/10 and Friday 1/11 for each of 2 rooms Hilton San Francisco Financial District Union Square East - Embarcadero Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $86.00 Subtotal: $344.00 ( 2 rooms) Taxes & Service Fees: $61.78 Total Charges*: $405.78
Bid $69 and was given the opportunity to pay another $17 to bi dagain, which I did. Thus, $86 total. Should have been less for a weekend, I reckon, but I did not want to mess around and anyway it is a substantial savings off rack.
