  1. I used the PRICELINE link and put in $12; priceline suggested $17 so I used $15 and it was accepted. This is over half off the prevailing rate.
  2. Booked on Priceline Express Deals. I had a 10% off coupon so rate per night was $219.60 plus taxes and fees for a total of $526.54. (with no resort fees, woo hoo!) Is there any way to look up the amenities after booking? If so I will add them.
  3. Priceline express deals shows a 4 star at $173/night. My guess is this is the Westin Maui. A hotel which I would be satisfied with. Based on historical wins; I'm not seeing this property go for much below $165 on name your own price. Obviously, if I name my own price I run the risk of getting a different property. Based on location I'd prefer to not have the Hyatt which is another property that comes up often as a name your own price win. Is it reasonable to conclude a name your own price won't be significantly lower than the express deals? If so I'd probably just go with the Westin if you think that's this hotel. 4. Used the PRICELINE link. started at $45 and bid my way up using safe re-bids. Stayed here before great location for the Bucks-Bulls Game I plan on going to! Cheapest rate at this hotel on other sites was $119+tax
  5. Started bidding at $42 based off previous win at this property. Used safe re-bid zones at $2 increments up to $50 at which point I won. This is a nice hotel and a great deal. Special note, you can park a block north at public Garage for a fraction of the cost of what the hotel charges.
  6. Used the PRICELINE link and bid $40 which was rejected, they offered me an automatic re-bid without changing anything if I increased by at least $15. I closed my browser and re-bid using a safe re-bid zone at $42 which was accepted. $56.07 out the door with taxes and fees.
  7. Bid $14/day through the PRICELINE link on an economy car which was rejected. I rebid at $16 and got a compact car with Avis. Total price out the door was $148.26. Cheapest on HOTWIRE was about $179. Cheapest advertised rate direct with Avis was $352.
  8. Bid 4* Millennium Park at $65 through PRICELINE link and was rejected. They offered to re-bid at $85 without adding zones. I closed browser and re-bid through PRICELINE link adding Franklin Park at $70 and was accepted. Checked other sites, and lowest advertisd rate was $179.
  9. Used the PRICELINE link and bought same day as my hotel stay. $59.59 out the door. Hotel Parking is a little pricey, but there is a garage one block north for $3 for 24 hours on the weekend.
