  1. Sorry if it isn't clear, one night checking in on the 14th out on the 15th. For the record I was offered the option to extend my stay pre or post for the same rate.
  2. Thanks to audreydoll for the earlier post. I was looking for a good deal on for a valentimes weekend and this was what I was waiting for. Followed roughly the same process. Started at $135 and added zones, Times Square, Long Island City and MTE at $ 5 increments. Got the hotel I wanted when I got to $ 150. Good deal. AS always I used the link.
  3. Thought I would report that it was a decent hotel. No pool and only King beds but it is convenient to the highway and the Maine Mall. You get what you pay for so next time I will pay more to get the 3 star but if cheapest in the area is your goal this was worth the price.
  4. Started at $ 55 for a 3 star, no go so dropped to $ 2.5 at $ 49 finally 2 star accepted at $ 43. Extended Stay hotel close to the Maine Mall. $ 69.99 direct through their website so not a bad deal. Used the PRICELINE link.
  5. Hi, I tried bidding for a 4 star in Downtown Denver at $ 65 and used rebids in zones not having 4 star properties to go to 70, 75, 80 and 85 with no luck. I know this is at the low end of what people have been successful in winning. As a relatively new priceline user I wonder if my chances for success might go up by breaking the stay into different bids (say 31st - 2nd and 2nd - 7th)? Based on hotel sites the weekend of the 31st, 1st is very expensive so they are most likely booked. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated. I am going for a conference and my conference rate at the Hyatt Regency is $ 169 / night so I have room to come up although I don't really want to go there. Thanks in advance.
  6. Started bidding for 3* in Busch Gardens at $ 45, no luck so added Tampa North went to $ 50. Still no luck so added 2.5* and dropped bid to $ 40. Still no luck. Added Brandon and dropped to 2* for $ 37 and got the Fairfield Inn. Not a great win quality wise but still a much better price than can be had any other way and I remembered to use the Savingsbarn link this time. Great resource.
  7. My best win ever. Received the 4 diamond Hyatt Regency in the airport even though I only bid on 3 star level. Was offered an additional night for the same rate.
