  1. Well finally after bidding for a hotel in South Beach I finally got one. Was hoping for Ocean Ave but it was starting to get a bit pricey. At least this hotel is only a few blocks from Ocean Ave and is right on the beach. Started with $50 dollar bid, next day 60, then 70 then 80. Then I bid $100 for Ocean Ave and couldn't even get a 3* hotel so I added Collins Ave Oceanfront and snagged this hotel $100 a night which is not bad for a Friday and Sat in South Beach. The cheapest price I could find for this place was $170 a night on other websites. Maybe I coulda got this for $90 on priceline but still a great deal at a $100. Thanks again betterbidding.com com for the great forum and the PRICELINE link. GO BLUE!!!
  2. Booked for this Saturday 6-13-09 for $38 + $12(taxes) ~ $50. Not bad for a 3 star hotel on a saturday night in grand rapids. Thanks again betterbidding.com and thanks for the PRICELINE link.
  3. Just booked it on priceline about 15 min ago. 30 a night plus 19 in taxes. total is 109 for 3 nights. Great price for a great reviewed hotel. Thanks again betterbidding.com for the tips and for the PRICELINE link.
  4. $44 Great deal for Miami beach about 1 1/2 miles north of South Beach at Days Inn Oceanside right on the beach. Only 2 star but the price was great. I told my grandma about the deal a couple days later and she wanted me to get her a room for the same dates, so I bid on priceline again for 44 and was declined. 24 hours later I rebid at 49 and was accepted at Days Inn Oceanside so we get to be in the same hotel together. It is the middle of hurricane season but looks like Hurricane Ike will just miss us a couple days before we get there. :)
  5. Thanks and by the way, I did click on the link at savingsbarn.com to make my Priceline purchase. I dont know if that helps anyone but I did notice some other people were doing that on this website so I thought I'd do the same becuase this website has been very helpful to me. Now I just gotta find the cheapest way from the airport to and from my hotel. Thanks again.
  6. Well I bid on Priceline. I wanted a resort and I bid up to 70 starting from 50 and didnt have any luck. So then I bid on a 3 star in the Disney area starting at 35. then i bid 39 and got Radisson worldgate which seems to have a lot of bad reviews. Lots of people say its only worth a 2 star. Plus they have a 5 dollar resort fee. Oh well I guess I can't complain at that price of 39 + 5 dollar resort fee. Place is hardly a resort though. But I am happy with the price I got. I'm sure it will be the nicest 44 dollar a night hotel i ever stayed in.
