  1. Atom What is the price you would have paid without PRICELINE? 263 per night. You are saving 90 per night. If you don't like priceline don't try it. This guy just tried to help you out. Big freaking deal the restaurant is under renovations. That's the risk you take. It's a crappy joint anyway. This is a Very nice hotel in a fine location. It's a steal at 150. We've paid 105 for nights at 300. This site is a revelation so don't complain about a great deal you got. My opinion only.
  2. It "seemed like a decent rate"? You are paying 180 rather than 459? You should be dancing in the street.
  3. Thanks very kindly. This is such a nice non confrontational site.
  4. I don't think this is a Woodley/Dupont Hotel. It's always been a DT/WH hotel. It is also in this zone on all other similar websites. The bidder added Dupont and raised his bid. That doesn't mean that he got it in the Dupont zone. A clarification would be wonderful. Thanks so much.
  5. Started at 42 and they asked for 15 more and I declined and bid 5 more with one free re bid and nailed 3 nights at 47. Website cheapest is $115/per night . I'll take it. 3 nights in NYC cost minimum 650, and I'm paying141......What a country..............
  6. After 2 months of bidding and resigning myself to $140 backup, I hit this this afternoon. The last week I had been bidding up to 120 with no luck and was shocked to get $95 today. I had been been starting in the last month at 90 and working up with the 7 rebids $5 at a bid. Cheapest room is AAA 246/nt. Saturday check-in. Fig
  7. FYI I am bidding for the same weekend downtown and am still being turned down for $185 4*. Hope that helps a little.........
  8. I found this thread because I was just about to pull the trigger on Chicago 4* NMA with Amenities: Suite, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business. This looks like a lock for Omni hotel. I have a room already booked for $239 next weekend for 3 nights. I see on Hotwire $147 so Continue and see retail price of $158 and I got to figure it can't be the Omni because the cheapest price for my 3 nights is now $309. I looked for a thread like this and now I have no clue. There doesn't seem to be any other 4* suite hotels in this area but this "retail price" thing messed me up. Any comments? Thanks, Fig
  9. 4* Downtown - July 2 Millenium Hilton $115 - 1 night. A quick one night stay in the city. Bid 110, then accepted @ 115 with free rebid. Fig
  10. I started @ $110 and increased each free rebid by $5.00, so the highest rejected bid was $130. Thanks
  11. We hit for Resort - Rennaisance Eden Roc Resort and Spa for 2 nights pre-cruise for $135/per night. The hotel looks great and the website rate is $349 per night so you can imagine how psyched we are. Fig
  12. I see that 2* also for a search for 1/20-22. Fig
  13. It's hard to believe that 185 is being turned down for this weekend. I booked a room at the Millenium Hilton 2 months ago for 177 and figured I'd get it on Priceline for about 110 or so according to recent gets. I'm seeing no last minute deals in NYC for this weekend. My room is selling for 259 right now so I'm happy but I'm not. Fig
  14. Numerous bids starting @ 135, using2 free re-bids and rejected for 145. Fig
  15. Sorry, I forgot to include that. It is downtown....
  16. Started at 60 and was accepted at 65 after 1 free rebid.
  17. Hi 2 months ago I won this hotel bidding as a resort for $70 for 3 nights. (9/27-30). Quite a bargain whether it is considered 4* or a resort. Good luck.
  18. It is indeed in the Universal/Sea World area and is the only resort I have ever seen there. This fact makes makes it perfect if you really want to stay there. Of course you have to get your price, which right now it seems they are giving out. Who knows for how long though. Fig
  19. I just got this resort for $69 on Priceline for 3 nights in Sept. Booking via the hotel website was $259 a night. It looks like a very nice hotel and this price is unreal. Fig
