  1. Used the PRICELINE link and first tried a 3* for $52 in Wilsonville. Priceline came back and said if I increased my price to $67 it would be accepted, so instead I went back and added Tualatin and bid $54. Priceline said they were still working on my request and to check back in 15 minutes. When I did I was successful for Holiday Inn Wilsonville!
  2. Use the PRICELINE link and at first bid $35 for a 3* because I did get a hotel room in the same area for the prior weekend for that price, but this weekend I had no luck. Waited 24 hours and bid $40 on Sunday before my Thursday arrival and it was accepted. I have two other friends who also need rooms in the same area/same nights that they planned on booking through priceline too, but they were unable to get anything even when bidding $45 so I got lucky somehow.
  3. I had been trying for days to get a hotel in Wilsonville or Tualatin and bid up to $54 for a 3 star and $32 for a 2.5 star with no luck so I just made a low bid of $35 for a 3 star in Lake Oswego because I'll have to drive farther to my destination these 3 days. Ended up with Hilton Garden Inn which sounds great for this price!
  4. Just thought I would let you know that when we checked in, we asked about upgrading to a King Room, and they offered us an upgrade to a King Suite for $40 so we took it. The hotel was in a fantastic location next Macy's and Pioneer Square and we loved the big King Suite.
  5. Used the HOTWIRE link and got the Mayflower Park Hotel Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), High-Speed Internet Access Also said that 95% liked the hotel in Hotwire Reviews.
  6. Used your PRICELINE link, and chose Gresham 3-star. My first bid of $50 was accepted.
  7. Used the PRICELINE link and bid $46 and my bid was accepted on the first try at Holiday Inn Wilsonville. I'm very happy with it. As a side note, I tried to bid on priceline up to $50 for the weekend before but ended up resorting to hotwire for that weekend thinking I could get this hotel there, but ended up with Wilsonville Inn and Suites for $59 which hotwire claims is a 3-star. I'll be in Wilsonville both weekends but I did not care if I stayed at the same hotel.
  8. Used the HOTWIRE link Amenitites: Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access This win makes me nervous because the star classification on any other website is 2.5 star so I was really suprised that Hotwire gave me this hotel. We will see how it works out.
  9. I used the PRICELINE link. My first bid of $45 for Gresham-Troutdale came back with a response saying if I bid $13 more per night that I would be successful. Since I needed to stay in this area and I was willing to pay the $58 per night, I went ahead and did it. I ended up with the Four Points Sheraton which I am very happy with. I have stayed there once before and it was nice.
  10. Through the PRICELINE link above: I first bid $40 for a 3.5 star in the Portland Airport area and the response I got was that if I increased my price by $12 then I would have a chance of getting a room, which is a response I have never received before. Usually it asks to also include another area, but this time it did not require that, or even ask me to include another area. I agreed and increased the price to $52 and received the Sheraton Portland Airport which we are very happy with.
  11. Used the HOTWIRE Link. Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access
  12. Accepted first bid of $42 for two rooms the night of April 10th. Used the PRICELINE link to make the purchase.
  13. I tried to call a few days ahead to request a King Room, and I was told that since it was priceline I would have to wait until we arrived at the hotel to make my request. When we arrived, there was no mention of priceline and we were given our request of a king room. I believe we were given one of the best King rooms at the top of the hill with a partial view. We were very happy with the room and the location of the room. The resort room was very nice with a separate living area with a wet bar and flat panel TV. The TV in the bedroom was a standard TV. My husband golfed 2 days that we were there at the onsite Lookout Mountain course and he enjoyed it very much. The service was excellent. We would stay again if we wanted to be in the North Phoenix area, and golf, however many of the activities that I wanted to attend were in Scottsdale and the drive was further than I expected. It took a good 25-30 minutes to get there.
  14. Originally tried to bid Scottsdale for $140 per night and was rejected. I added Phoenix (North) and lowered my price to $130 because I was willing to stay in either area, and the bid was accepted at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. The Pointe Hilton website says the rate is $259 per night for this resort. I think I may have been able to get a lower price for Phoenix (North) now that I see some of the other posts.
