  2. Hi, decided the Firesky was the best choice for us. Thank you for your help!
  3. Hi there Aaron -- I found this win 3/4/15 for the Wigwam with a 4.5 star listing: Phoenix Hotwire hotel win The hotel lists have Wigwam at 4 stars.
  4. Thanks Aaron -- looking at 4.5-star Phoenix (Glendale South - Litchfield Park) at $131 with: Resort Pet Friendly Fitness Center Pools Restaurant Internet Business Center Golf Nearby Better bidding adds tennis nearby, spa services 95% TA recommend, $20/day resort fee. I don't see any 4.5-star hotels in the Glendale or Litchfield hotel lists. Any inkling what this might be? Thanks!
  5. Aha! That's a cool tool, Aaron! It brings up the amenity list you thought it would. Most rooms at that property are in the $260 rack range -- But they do have villas at $320 or so. If Hotwire shows an original price of $319, would it mean the booking is for a room retailing at that price? If it is Hilton Squaw Peak, you've really saved me this time. I don't really want to celebrate my 55th birthday at a water park!
  6. Hello, and thanks for any help identifying this property. Original rate of $316. Tripadvisor rating 4 out of 5, Hotwire 80% recommend. Feature Set: Free Parking Resort Pet Friendly Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Internet access I really appreciate this site and forum! As always, booking through your link :) Thanks again.

  8. Hi -- anxiety got the better of me, and I went ahead and bought the Hyatt Regency Chi for $146/night through HOTWIRE -- using your link, of course! It's a boring choice but good location for us at a tolerable price. Our back-up was a Shedd package at Swissotel for $299/night... we would have had to really chow down at the free buffet breakfast to make up that $300! Note to newbies: Choices DO NOT necessarily improve at the last minute! Hotwire offered more choices, and better values, 4 days ago -- but I didn't have the confidence then to jump. In the interim, I found this site and learned a lot from thereuare, aaron and fellow users. By reading past posts and comparing availability and rack rates on hotel sites, I managed to spot and avoid a hotwire offering I definitely didn't want (Hyatt McCormick) and knew that I was getting the Hyatt Regency Chicago. (Tip: average your multiple night quote from the hotel site and compare it to Hotwire's pre-discount "retail." Mine were exact matches.) Next time, I'll book sooner and at a better price. Thanks for your generous advice and guidance!
  9. What's my best value for a 4-star hotel this weekend, arriving 11/10 (Saturday) and departing 11/12 (Monday)? We're visiting the Shedd, window-shopping the Mile, etc. Pool would be ideal... Thanks for any advice/ideas!
