  1. Oh, I see I did something wrong in the header; it was € 65 as a winning bid. I did get a refund of priceline of € 4,04, the difference with the lowest rate on the hotel's website. So no big win here !
  2. Used the betterbidding PRICELINE link to win this one. Started at € 50, and was asked to increase to € 76. Did not do that and used free bidding zones to increase in increments of € 5 and was accepted at € 65 (in total € 81,15 including costs). Was quite surprised to win this hotel, was expecting/hoping the Marriott Sugar Land which I have booked before (and which I like very much). Price is not so good, regular rates are almost similar, probably a little lower (about $ 100, which is about € 80). So not so happy. But good to know this is a 3.5 star as well; new in the area ...
  3. Amenities: Free breakfast, Free parking, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Kitchenette
  4. Was already expecting this one. Nice win, happy with this. Used your HOTWIRE link
  5. I was so sure this would be the Springhill Suites, so I was a little disappointed about this win ... The hotel looks a little dated on the website photos, and the price is not so much better than the regular prices ... Also I am Marrott Gold, so hoped for a free breakfast, but no status with Choice Awards, so also not likely to arrange for a free breakfast ;-) ! So all in all, a little disappointed, but if I thought more carefully I could have known, as when I checked the rates online for the SpringHill Suites, it said they were sold out ... Well, it seems an ok hotel, so for our first night after our arrival in the US, it will probably be ok. As we have our teen daughter with us, we go for a suite hotel. I had the option for 'king bed' and 'king bed plus sofa' which was more expensive. As I thought it could be suite only, I always had a sofa bed, I went for 'king bed' only, which in my view would definitely have a sofa bed. It was so for Springhill Suites, hopefully here as well ! Please add this hotel to possible hotels on your website. Thank you. I used your HOTWIRE link to make the booking. Amenities: Suite, Free parking, Free Internet, Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  6. Started at $ 50 and incrementally increased with $ 5. Not so happy with the price in the end, as regular Hhonors lowest rate is $ 81 for that night, so did not win much ... Hoepfully they honor my hhonor card for a nice upgrade !
  7. Started at $ 60 and went up in $ 5 increments until my last option for $ 85 and was accepted. Would not have gone higher, as hotwire was now only a little bit more expensive. Was quite sure I would get this nice hotel, although the price is not too much of from lowest advertised rate (around $ 110). Hoped to get a better deal, but still good ! Used your PRICELINE link to make the bid/win.
  8. Needed a place to stay; have been trying priceline for some time, but no luck for 3.5star up to $ 95 and 3star up to $ 65. Quite happy, although I preferred the Courtyard or the Hilton, but this is pretty good hotel too, if I read the reviews (although normally not a big BW fan). Used the HOTWIRE link here in the forum. Amenities: Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Self service laundry Internet access
  9. Started at $ 40, increased with $ 2 with free rebids and was accepted at $ 46. Used your PRICELINE link !
  10. Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Business Center Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Just added another night for $ 109
  11. Started on priceline, went up to $ 90 but no win. Knew this would be the Hampton Inn, and could have won the Courtyard through priceline as well, so just wanted to go for this eventually, with the small price difference. My preference is Hampton Inn. Used the HOTWIRE link !
  12. Thanks for the update and the tip about IKEA (which we are very familiar with here in Europe) !
  13. Unbelievable; needed one night in the Chicago suburbs, before flying home the next day. Wanted to be close to the Woodfield Shopping Center (one of the biggest Malls in the area), located in Schaumburg. A few 4 star properties are located here, regular prices ranging from $ 189 - $ 229 for that date for Renaissance, Marriott and Hyatt properties. Also priceline indicated $ 189 as regular price in that area. Started at $ 55 and .... was accepted immediately ?! I am a quite frequent bidder, and was expected to be much too low with this bid, but low enough to start with, as there are a lot of free rebidding zones. Priceline indicated a 70% savings with this win, quite amazing. Looks like a nice property, although I hoped for the Marriott or Renaissance, as a Marriott Platinum. Well, we will see ! Used the PRICELINE link !
  14. Thanks ! I am frequent PRICELINE bidder, and I must say I had never before any problems getting the amenities I would be entitled to under a normal booking (from upgrades to free breakfasts). And that our quite some stays ! But I know I am formally not entitled to anything ...
  15. Started at $ 70 (incl $ 10 bonus) and was accepted at $ 90 (incl $ 10 bonus, so effectively paying $ 80 per night). Was not quite sure which hotel it would be, but would have been happy with all of them. This was is a little more South than hoped for, but on the other hand I am platinum with Marriott, so hopefully this will get me some additional benefits ! And very happy with this hotel, especially as regular prices are above $ 200 a night ! Used the PRICELINE link, hope all went fine with bonus money etc
  16. Started at $ 47, increased with free rebids to $ 50, $ 53 and $ 55 which was accepted. Exactly last year booked the same hotel for $48, so a little increase. Had this hotel each year for over the last 7 years and always loved it. They have a new lobby now, as I understand. Used your link above, although not sure whether it worked, as I had $ 25 priceline bonus cash. Regular prices from $ 99, so quite happy :)
  17. Started at $ 50, was asked to increase to $ 64, declined and increased with free rebids to $ 53 and $ 55 and was accepted. Exactly the same price and hotel as a year ago; regular prices on website were $ 79, so not too bad although not great discount. Used your PRICELINE link :D
  18. Started at $ 60 and went up in increments of $5 and was accepted at $ 80. Not such a great deal, as the regular cheapest online price is around $ 92 ... I have the feeling that recently the real 'deals' with priceline are becoming less and less. Even though quite happy with the hotel, nothing wrong with that. Used the PRICELINE link !
  19. Started at $ 45 and increased with $5 increments and was accepted at $ 70. I knew Rosen Shingle Creek was not available, so hoped for the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes (which I won this summer), but very curious to check out this hotel. Location is better and is quite new. The price I paid was not so much better than the regular prepaid rates (from $ 92), unfortunately. Used your PRICELINE link !
  20. Needed a hotel for our 1 night stay in Houston, before flying to Vegas; knew that prices would be low, so started at $ 35, increased to $ 38 and was accepted at $ 40 ! Pretty happy with this airport hotel (although a little off-site; but in fact no parking fees and hopefully somewhat more quiet). Very happy with this one ! As always, used your PRICELINE link ;-) !
  21. Started at $ 40, increased with free rebids with $ 5 increments and accepted at $ 50. Nice win for this property, very pleased with it. Was quite likely to be this one, had little hope for the Embassy Suites, but this is certainly fine ! Used your PRICELINE link to make this bid !
  22. Have been working on this for weeks, trying to get the Omni or Gaylord Palms hotel, but no succes up to $ 105 even today. Moved my business to other area's as I had $ 10 bonus cash expiring today. Lake Buena Vista hotels did not look that promising (could be everything in 4star area and some I did not want to win), so choose for the Seaworld - International Drive area. Chances normally would be Rosen Shingle Creek and that looked quite good, despite the charges for parking (WiFi would be free as from 4 July). But checking prices on their website showed me no availability on our last day. So best chances would be the Westin Imagine and Peabody, both looked nice to me. Started at $ 65 and increased up to $ 85 (including the $ 10 bonus cash, so costs for me $ 75) and was accepted, and was I surprised to see one of the best hotels in the area, not in the busy Idrive !! I could not believe I won this hotel for 'only' $ 75 (normal prices start at $ 210). I know parking is expensive their, but I'll accept that easily for this stay. I used your PRICELINE link, hopefully it worked again with the bonus cash !
  23. Started at $ 60, was asked to increase to $ 76, rejected and increased to $ 64 and $ 67 with free rebids and was accepted. Extremely happy with this deal (and was quite sure this would be the win). The 2 nights after this stay I also won this hotel, although for $ 80 (luckily $ 7 bonus cash), but at that time I needed 2 rooms and I could not get that working in 1 bid. As always, I used your PRICELINE link !!
  24. Started at $ 45 and increased with free rebids to $ 55 (including $10 bonus cash). Hoped for the Hyatt Place here, but this looks ok on tripadvisor as well. Used your PRICELINE link !
