  1. $64 for the W New Orleans on Poydras through Hotwire. One night stay on 6/1/13. Check out the new amenities listed for this property: Pet friendly Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Accessible bathroom Roll-in shower
  2. Can this be added to the pinned Hotel list? The Hyatt Regency is not on the 4* list for Downtown.
  3. $100 per night for Friday and Saturday night of Jazzfest Not the best deal I've ever had, but the Marriot website is asking $269 per night for this room.
  4. Bid $54 but got denied. Was offered a "second chance" to raise bid by $15. Second bid was accepted at $69. Other sites have it for $199 a night.
  5. Used the HOTWIRE link to purchase Jameson Inn for $42. Other sites have for $70. One night - 4/22/10. HOTWIRE simply listed 2* Lafayette area hotel with no amenities listed.
  6. $82 seems to be the winning number during Jazzfest now. Tried 3 times to get it cheaper, but no go. 7. 3* Lafayette Holiday Inn $57 for a room during Festival International, other websites asking $133 Showed 4 amenities - Pool, Business Center, Laundry, High-speed Internet
  8. 1st bid was $65, Priceline came back with a message saying I could resubmit the same bid if I increase bid by $17. I took it as a hint they would accept my offer and they did. $82 for a friday night during Jazzfest is a good price. Expedia has the same hotel for $219. $82 for 4/24/09
  9. Very suprised and happy to get the Fairmont! It wasn't in the pinned Hotel list, so I had this "guessed" as a Westin or Hyatt. It was perfect for the two places I wanted to go: the House of Blues and the Museum district. I checked in expecting a "Hotwire" room, but they gave me a room on the 23rd floor (next to top floor). I could see the House of Blues from my room. Room had plush king bed, flat panel widescreen TV, great view, and paper delivered in the morning. The Fairmont is great for service, and I liked the small army in the lobby saying good morning and opening the door. The Arts District musuems are only two blocks over. If it helps you id the Fairmont, it had 8 Feature icons: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Children's Activity Program
  10. Won this earlier this month for $62. Used the Hotel List to get an idea of which property it was. The same hotel description was on Hotwire for $79. My friends were staying at the Westin DFW and I tried several bids and rebids for the DFW property. When the bids got above $79 I started over and aimed for this Westin Park Central. It took three bids. I checked in wearing a suit (a rarity for me), showed them my Starwood card, and they gave me a free upgrade to a mini Suite (really just one big room with couch and coffee table). I should check in wearing a suit more often! Free lot parking is caddy corner across the street. Standard Westin comforts - Heavenly Bed & Double shower head. Park Central has a somewhat outdated 80's feel, but so does most of High Rise Dallas. When I visited my friends at the DFW Westin, I thought it was much nicer inside. DFW Westin has been redone recently and has a newer hip feel, more like a W hotel (candles in the lobby at night). The DFW Westin bar was really hopping, there were convention groups, baseball playoff fans, airport travelers, and a steady flow of Army soldiers (they are so young!) enjoying their last night before shipping off to Iraq. I think they were paying $149 for the DFW Westin, so I was very happy with my $62 room.
