  1. My initial bid was $45 and system countered with $57. I rebid $51, which was accepted. I hope I'm not too far from downtown tourist activities. Yes, I used the PRICELINE link.
  2. My initial bid of $45 was accepted. An historic hotel...not your usual fare. Yes, I used the PRICELINE link.
  3. :) Self parking with be an additional $13. $60 bid rejected for 4*, $50 bid rejected for 3* Yes, I used the link.
  4. It's a very nice facility. Nicely furnished with on site dining--formal or grill. Nice bedding and rooms with balconies. Free newspaper. Marble tops in bathroom and on furniture. :)
  5. Opps--This was in Springfield, IL. The hotel was newer, comfortable, clean and quiet. It seemed more comparable to a 2.5* than a 3*. It seemed similar to a Holiday Inn Express.
  6. Amenities Comp Breakfast, Fitness, Bus Center, Laundry, Free Internet, Golf I'm a bit disappointed as most websites show this as a 2.5* facility. I called Hotwire and they had upgraded the hotel on the 19th and said Travelocity lists it as a 3*. They did accommodate my request for a room with 2 beds. Yes, I used the link
  7. A $40 bid was accepted on my first try. This hotel seems to get a lot of mixed reviews.
  8. I initially bid $50 for a 3*, which was rejected. I increased my bid to $57 and lowered the star ranking to 2.5, which was accepted. Yes, I used your PRICELINE link.
  9. I made numerous attempts over a couple of weeks for a 3* in the $45-$55 range. I finally lowered my star ranking to 2.5*. A $50 bid was countered with $65 by Priceline. I immediately countered with $57, which was accepted. Parking, internet and breakfast is free. And yes, I used your PRICELINE link.
  10. I would have preferred something downtown, but I could not get anything in the price range I wanted to pay. Plus, parking is extra. My initial bid was $40 and PRICELINE countered at $50. I changed the options to include downtown 3* and upped my bid to $45, which was accepted. Yes, I used your PRICELINE link.
  11. The location is Bloomington, IL Amenities Free Breakfast, Fitness Center, Pool, Business Center and High Speed Internet Used the HOTWIRE link.
  12. There are 2 Days Inns in Wausau and I suspect you won Days Inn North. I stayed at this property last January. You can see my review on tripadvisor. At the time of my stay, Priceline customers were assigned to a room with one double bed as a large portion of the rooms had only one bed. While this worked for me as a solo traveler, you may want to call about upgrading if this will not work for you.
  13. Radisson Hotel Conference Center Longmont Boulder 1900 Ken Pratt Boulevard Longmont, CO 80501 303-776-2000 Check-In: Thursday, August 12, 2010-01:00 PM Check-Out: Monday, August 16, 2010-12:00 PM I'm very happy with this result!!! :) Bidding history: $36, $41, $45, and $50 accepted. And yes, I used the PRICELINE link.
  14. $45 per night for 4/2/10-4/4/10. A bid of $39 had been rejected with no counter offer. I got tired of raising my bid by $2 every day so I jumped to $45, which was accepted.
  15. Just a suggestion here. Have the user only enter the start date and automatically show the full 14 days (or even more would be better.) It's time consuming to figure out the end date when you are going from one month into the next. I'm sure most searches involve a 14 day window and showing a few extra days wouldn't hurt. Thanks.
  16. I have read the reviews too. I think some of the reviewers have mixed up the properties. The good reviews often refer to a pool and this property does not have a pool. It doesn't make sense that both Days Inns get a 2* ranking when one has a pool and the other does not. I'll do a review after my stay. For me, one double bed will work. I just think that it should not be allowed on Priceline without disclosure. One double bed would not be considered an acceptable accomodation to many couples traveling together. Given that it is so uncommon, I think it should be disclosed.
  17. I want to be perfectly clear. The one bed that I will receive is a FULL sized bed. You can go to their website and you will see that the one bed rooms are only full sized beds. I went to the priceline website and found, "We can only say for certain that the room we book for you is guaranteed for double occupancy, but you may get one king, one queen, two queen, one double, two doubles, two twin beds or any combination of the above." So, one double bed is within the Priceline standards. However, I think 2 travelers will be sorely disappointed and uncomfortable to get one full sized bed. I've never encounted such a setup outside of a large city. This hotel also offers monthly rentals and gets poor reviews. Hmmmm.... Is it really a two star hotel?
  18. I called ahead and the hotel was able to give us non-smoking rooms. I asked about the beds and the rooms come with only ONE double bed. That is not an issue for me as I am traveling alone. I think this could be an issue for priceliner's expecting comfortable accomodations for 2 adults in a two star hotel. Is this consistent with the Priceline promise---only one double bed?
  19. 2 Rooms for 2 nights 2* 1/29/10-1/31/10 $29 per night per room. Total $140.24 for 4 nights. My first bid was $25 and I received a counter offer to raise my bid by $6 to win. I waited and rebid the $29, which won. Days Inn Wausau 116 South 17th Ave Wausau, WI And, yes, I used the betterbidding PRICELINE link.
  20. The calendar is showing a $43 win. It looks to me like the bidder had a $65 win.
  21. I tried $55 for Resort and 4 star for North Scottdale and the bid was rejected. I added 4 star Scottsdale area and lowered my bid to $50, which was accepted.
  22. Ammenities: smoke free rooms, fitness center, pool, restaurants, business center, high speed internet, tennis nearby, spa
  23. $58 per night at the Westin Harbour Castle. The total charge for 3 nights was $203 USD I'm very happy because the conference rate was $255 CAD per night. And yes, I used the HOTWIRE link.
  24. My first try was a $75 bid, which was accepted for the Hilton in downtown Portland. It cost an additional $25 for valet or $18 for self parking, which is typical for downtown Portland. I had a very nice stay with a great location.
