  4. hi, but one post is for hotwire and the other is for priceline. the orgininal post was hotwire the most recent post is priceline.
  5. Hi, For a few days now i'v been trying to get a resort or 3* hotel in the WDW area but have failed. Dates - 28th June to 6th July. I bid up to $62 for resort. I bid up to about $53 for a 3* using all free rebid zones. I have done this process 2 or 3 times in the past few days. I think i am going to wait a while, as although i know its a busy time of year, from looking at past posts 3* hotels in the WDW area are usually accepted by $50. Would you advise me to do this? Thanks
  6. there is a new 3 star appearing, well certainly there is one but it could have been there before... $77 - pool, fitness, buisness, laundry by looking at this website it doesnt look as if its been defined yet.
  7. Hi sorry It was $49 per night, its not coming at all for my dates now but searched a few dates i see its also avaliable in parks of august and september, but unfortunatly my dates arnt flexible.
  8. Yesterday the hotel had resort status, sestaurant, pool, fitness, business centre, tennis courts, kidss Activites and laundry. Dates 28th June - 6th July. I assumed this was the Grosvenor at downtown disney from this website. Today i went back to hotwire and the hotel wasnt showing. Does anyone with more knowledge than me think that it will reappear or is that hotel gone at this price for my dates forever?
  9. hi, yes it is the hyatt grand cypress so, i dont need to contact priceline, just the resort? thanks
  10. Hi, I won a resort for the orlando area a while ago but my sister has decided to come along with us. On the priceline page i only entered that there would be 2 people staying at the hotel. Is there a way to add an extra person, or is it okay just to turn up withan extra person? Thank YOu
  11. WDW area - Resort 1st bid of $50 was accepted dates: 5th september - 11th september Very shocked at getting it, i didnt think i would get anything for $50 a night
  12. Hi, Dates are 5th September to 11th September Amenities are Resort Restaurant(s) Pool(s) Fitness Center Golf Nearby Laundry Facilities (self-service) Price is $45 From the list of the old zones it looks like the Best Western Lake Buena Vista. what do you think? the price seems good too
  13. H, i'm just begeting with airfair and stuff and have done quite a bit of reserach looking through past bids. How much do you think the maximum i will have to pay per night is? From the looks of it around $40. The Sheraton Safari, Radisson Worldgate and Best Western seem to be the ones that come up most frequently, but interestingly i havn't seen any Radison for a september, and one 1 win of the seraton for september, but about half of the best western wins are from september. I dunno if that means the best western will liikely to come up or it doesn't mean anything.
  14. Didn't ever get anything through priceline in the range i wanted and alot of hotels were booked up due to conventions, so i eventually found a hotel with a room thru a different website.
  15. won't be able to change dates once we book them as we are coming from england, so once the flights to and from america are booked there is no changing dates. Our dates will be confirmed in a few days. We are just decided whether to spend 1 more night in San Francisco staying with a friend.
  16. Hi dates are Sept 5th to Sept 10th 3 star wdw area amenities are : Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Laundry
  17. Hi, as one or two of you may know i won a hotel in san francisco for september. now for the next part of the trip we may be going to orlando. So the dates will either be Sunday 4th or Monday 5th (labour day) to Friday 9th or Saturday 10th september. Really would like a hotel in downtown disney but i know you can't choose hotels. Although if the price is right anything will be fine. So i would like a hotel in the WDW area, 3 star (maybe resort depending on what you think). Maximum bid would be $60, but i have seen quite a few people getting sherton safari or best western for $39 in that area. So what should i start bidding with. Also do you think i should wait? On a disney message board they predict thee will be alot of dicounts nearer the time because it is the slowest time for orlando, but some said 'they would never go in september again' after the hurricanes. All advice welcome, thanks.
  18. Hi Just wanted to say i couldn't wait any longer.... i wanted to do it! So i choose 4 star in the Union Square East - Embarcadero region for 8/31 to 9/04 . I placed a bid of $75, and got rejected. I then had an offer to add $22 to the bid, but i rejected that. I then added Fishermans Warf area to my bid seing as it only went up to 3 stars in that area. Placed my bid at $77 per night. Bid accepted - Hyatt Regency San Francisco. Total for 4 nights is $368 including taxes. Not bad considering the cheapest rate for those nights is $255 per night thru their website!! :)
  19. Hi everyone. Just wondering if it is too early to start bidding for a hotel in San Francisco? I know it is possible, but would advise waiting until nearer the time? Thanks
  20. hi again. Location i would like is to be central and near the times square and theatre area. What other areas would you suggest? Thanks
  21. Hi sorry... was going to use priceline first then found out about the auction site... Well i have gone down to 2 stars, still in MTW and still can't get anything with $120 even in the 2* region!
  22. Hi, I had won an auction thru SkyAuction for the millenum hotel broadway, but yesterday got an email saying they couldn't fulfill my request! I have just checked various websites and the prices has gone up really high. MY travel details Checking in on Thursday 21st October Checking out on Thuesday 26th October Just tried 5 star MTW for $150 and not got anything. I have seen the marriott marquis hotel on here for that amountish. Would it be better trying for say Thursday night then the last 4 nights seperatly? thanks
  23. I bid up to $140 per night and still got rejected.
  24. Hi, I have read your views on the different zones on this site. MTE seems quite a good spot and will probably add this area. I would prefer to be in the heart of the touristy areas (like MTW), is MTE touristy? I am having second thoughts about MTS as from the description it says that it gets quite quiet at night. :)
  25. Hi, I bid MTW 2 night ago and got rejected. If I add MTS, is it an even chance to get MTW and MTS? I aske this because from looking at other posts, when some add a new zone they get a hotel in their original zone. Thanks :)
