  1. 1st Bid - Great Deal. Stayed here last year around same time - Great hotel & location. Love Boston this time of year!! :)
  2. Bid for a friend. Bid $80; was offerd $22 for acceptance - bid $85 which was accepted. Hyatt.com rate is $269. :)
  3. Bid up to $140 for a 4* with no luck. For a 3* bid $65, $75, $90 - was offered $22 for acceptance - bid $100 and was accepted. :)
  4. Bid up to $80 for a 4* with no luck. 3* - $50 accepted 1st bid. (2 rooms) :)
  5. Needed a room close to Orlando airport for an early flight. Bid up to $45 for a 3* - no dice! Started bidding for 2.5* at $30, increased to $38 and was offered $11 more for acceptance. Bid $39 and bingo - accepted at $40. :)
  6. Bid $45 - rejected. Bid $47 - accepted (2rooms). Note there are only two zones that can be used in re-bidding a 3* in Downtown Toronto now. The Vaughn area now has a 3*. :)
  7. Bid $50 - offered $14 for acceptance - ignored - Bid $52 refused - accepted at $54. :)
  8. Booked this for a friend. Started bidding at $50 and worked my way up to $63 ( $62 was not accepted). Although this seems like a nice hotel, this isn't such a good Priceline deal - the HI website advance payment rate is $80 for Sat night and $64 for all the other nights. There is a big convention on at the Marriott this week. :)
  9. As a follow up to my last post - I sent a polite e-mail of complaint to Priceline's customer service, explaining my disappointment at being much further out of Boston than expected and the added expense of travel due to the hotel's overbooking. They apologized and refunded the whole amount of the 2 night's stay. - Wow!! - that's great customer service! Thanks Thereuare for the support!! :)
  10. Bid $45 - Priceline offered $13 more for acceptance. Ignored and bid $48 - accepted! Website price is C$229. :)
  11. Wasn't too fussy whether I got MTS, MTE or MTW. I bid up to $125 for a 4* with no success. For 3 *'s I started at $100, incremented $5 each bid and won at $115. Quite pleased as their website price is around $215/nt. :)
  12. Well, not only was the hotel sold out but when we arrived (about 7pm) they were overbooked - they said a bus load of minors had to stay over as their bus had broken down - likely story! They sent us to the Sierra Suites in Waltham which turned out to be now owned by Extended Stay (Deluxe) in Waltham ( right behind the Westin). Was a nice place but was a bit further out of Boston than we expected. They offered to cover our taxi fares to the "T" and gave us a free 5 minute long distance call (oooh!). From the invoice at check out, they had to pay $275 to Extended Stay!!
  13. No. I started at $80 ; at $100 I was offered acceptance at $22 more. I chose to re-bid at $105.
  14. Was bidding last minute. I know this seems a lot but Boston must be hot this week. Tried up to $125 for 4* in most areas, $120 for 3*. This was going to be my last bid before booking through regular channels. Website rate for this hotel was $159 so not too disappointed.
  15. Tried $79, $85, $89, $95 - accepted at $99.
  16. Bid on 2 rooms. Bid $40, $45, $47, $48 - finally accepted at $49. Great deal! :)
  17. Tried DT up to $70 - not accepted. Bid $50,$55,$60 and finally accepted at $65 in the Coastal region. I'm staying at the Hyatt La Jolla on 8/2 so it will be interesting to compare the two properties. :)
  18. 1st Bid. Stayed here last Sept - great property. Non-cancellable price on Hyatt's website was $155 for this Friday Night.
  19. Usually get a 3* for $32-34 but bid up to $45 with no success. Started bidding on a 4* at $55 - accepted at $58.
  20. Started at $50 - accepted at $69 Total for 3 nights - :) $239.69
  21. Great Deal! - tried $45,$48, $50-accepted. Total for 2 nights - $118.36 :) (Bid on June 6/2004)
  22. Date of Stay 12th May 2004 I've won this hotel 3 times on Priceline with $32-$34 bids and have always been satisfied. I once got the Marriott Eaton Centre (for around the same price) which is slightly better but am always happy with the Courtyard. It's only a couple of blocks from the Eaton Centre (if shopping is your thing) but I like the location because it's close to Ryerson University where my daughter goes. The staff have always been pleasant and friendly at check-in. The lobby is great. The restaurant & bar look nice but have never used them. I asked for & got a NS Double Queen this time, as my kids stayed too. The room was in the North Tower on the 6th floor and was great. You always get a newsaper left at your door in the morning. The Pickle Barrel further down Yonge street is great for breakfast. I used the valet parking this time but found it a bit steep at C$23 including tax. It's a difficult area to park in anyway and I usually leave my car on the street a few blocks away.
