  1. I was bidding on a 3* in the Virginia Beach - Pembroke area. I tried several bids, starting at $40 and was rejected many times. My bid was accepted at $65 AND I was upgraded to a 4* hotel. (Quite a surprise - this hasn't ever happened to me before.)
  2. I started my bidding at $45 and worked up to $56 using the re-bidding zones. I was given a counter-offer at $56 and asked to raise my bid by $17. I declined this offer and waited 24 hours to bid again. I started the next round of bidding at $59 and the offer was accepted immediately!
  3. I bid several times before my bid was accepted. I started at $129 and went up 2 or 3 dollars with each bid. (It took me a week or so to get to the final price.) I received several offers stating that "We have a great deal for you," and asked that I pay $201 per night. I decided to keep bidding and felt I could get a better deal than this. I did receive a counter offer at $179 - and it asked that I raise my price by $25 per night. On the next bid (of $181), the price was accepted! I realize this price is higher than many other bids that have been posted, however my stay includes a Saturday Night and this is a busy weekend in Vegas.
  4. First bid of $12 per day was accepted. Total with all taxes and fees was $66.
  5. Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I will also be staying in Vegas that week, but my stay is 04/26 - 04/29. I tried to bid several times on 4* and 5* rooms in the North and South Strip locations. My max was $125 for a 5*, but that was rejected. I eventually bid $88 for a 4* room and received a counter offer of $110 and used the counter offer formula (Inital price + 1/2 of counter offer increase) and won a room for $99. However, I won a room at the Westin Casuarina which is off the strip a little and has received mixed reviews. Thought this may help with your bidding.
  6. I bid SEVERAL times to get this hotel... I started at a price of $61 and went all the way up to $88. At $88, I received a counter offer to bid $22 more. This should have been $110, but I closed the browser and bid again for a total of $99 (using the 1/2 counter offer method - $88 + $11 (1/2 of the $22 counter) = $99). The room was accepted for $99. My stay includes a Saturday Night, so I am happy with my price of $99. I am also happy that I did not have to break up my stay at two different hotels. I checked the price of the Westin on their website and the toal would have been $738, so I feel like I got a good deal! (My price, with all fees is $337)
