Sorry for the late update! I ended up going with the "Quality Inn & Suites" (on O'Keefe Ave) and booked straight through the "Choice Privileges" site with a AAA discount. Total stay for 3 nights averaged $146 / night, which was very good for the location (near the French Quarter) and only $17 per night for parking (which is the biggest sneaky expense in NOLA). The hotels in NOLA can be very sketchy. This is why I decided not to use Hotwire. I really needed to know where we were planning to stay ahead of time. The room we had at the Quality was way bigger than a lot of hotels I was reading about in this town. The staff was awesome, walking distance to everything, and a great price compared to other hotels in the area. I highly recommend it. (Note: this was a year ago) I think we would have been disappointed with the $117 hotel I was trying to research. 'Too good to be true' can really bite you down there. Thank you for everyone's help! I would agree with the "InterContinental" also, except that it has a pool. This Hotwire offer has no pool listed...and now the offer is down to $114.00 per night, starting on 11/28/13 for 3 nights (as shown on the 'BiddingHelper.com' page). Any ideas?

Thank you! Not a bad price for 4th of July night. Everyone else wanted at least $100 for this room. Side note: Called about the pet policy. One night for a dog is $25. Might have to employ 'stealth' mode on the pooch... :)

Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Laundry Facilities ***BE WARNED*** - After reading the comments on Trip Advisor (and other sites), the general consensus was that this place was "utterly disgusting". If I would have known that a La Quinta was posssible with a three star rating, I would have never booked it. I believe this is a total misrepresentation of this property. I thought I was going to get the Crowne Plaza. I called HOTWIRE and asked for this to be fixed. The rep read the Trip Advisor comments and said I could get a refund if I booked a different trip through HOTWIRE. Luckily, I needed another resv in Lubbock, TX, so we did that one and I got my refund. (The ironic part is that the TX booking was La Quinta also...but, it was only 2.5* and did not have the venom in the postings for it, that this one did) This section of OKC is full of nice 3* hotels...this ain't one of them. This is a total scam on someone's part...and I let HOTWIRE know this.
