  1. I'm curious what your review will be after your upcoming visit. Appears they've made some improvements since your previous visit.
  2. Landed a GREAT deal of $63/night, which was actually $70 if you factor in the Priceline bonus cash ($7 off per night). This is my second stay here in 12 months. Items of note: Buy ART bus pass for Disneyland - Adult $4/day and child $1/day. Beats the walk since you'll be walking all day. Runs every 15-20 min. Self parking is $24/day. In-room internet for a fee; wifi is free in the lobby. Every room in main (Palms) tower has a balcony. Pool is warm; some places say heated pool and this might be the first one to actually heat it. Disneyland Resort Express (operated by Gray Line) stops here.
  3. adding that there is ample free street parking. never parked further away than a 5 min walk from the property.
  4. That's a great deal. See my priceline win post from a few weeks ago about substantial fees at this property. There is a daily resort and parking fee (if you have a car). In the end, we enjoyed our stay and would bid again.
  5. I just stayed here a couple weeks ago. It's not far from the water at all. ADVICE: if you want to save $20/day self-parking fee, park on the street. Plenty of free parking to be had.
  6. Using the PRICELINE link, I began with a low bid of $57. Several bids later, and surprisingly no counter offers, I reached success at $81. Even with $20/day parking, this is a good deal during Spring Break.
  7. Used the PRICELINE link to start my bidding at exactly $20 less than Hotwire's price and it was accepted right away. Was expecting to have to go a few rounds. ;) +$17 resort fee +$32 parking fee = ouch! Still a great deal even after all add-ons, when comparing to other area 4*s. Suggestion for Priceline: consider moving from 4* to Resort. :D
  8. 1 night @ Grand Hyatt during Spring Break for most parts of the country $63/night $8/day for self-parking Used PRICELINE link for my initial bid, but opening and closing multiple windows may have broke my initial link from this site.
  9. 2 nights @ Marriott World Center during Spring Break for most parts of the country $92/night No resort fee $14/day for self-parking Retail for these same nights was $249/night, so more than pleased with the win. Used PRICELINE link for my initial bid, but opening and closing multiple windows may have broke my initial link from this site.
  10. 3* Portland Intl Airport PDX Entrance - Cascade Station area hotel Hyatt Place Portland Airport Amenities: airport shuttle smoke free rooms fitness center pool business center high speed internet Recommended in 100% of customer reviews. Had a good idea this was Hyatt Place due to 100%. Aloft is 95% recommended. Rate per night: $46.00 Nights: 1 Rooms: 1 Tax recovery charges & fees: $12.04 Subtotal: $58.04 Trip total: $58.04 (USD) Used betterbidding HOTWIRE link. :)
  11. ah hah! i used the better bidding links this time. :) was trying for a 3* in Flagstaff, but then decided to step down to a 2.5, then ulitmately a 2. looks like a nice place (all things considered). remodeled in 2007, free wifi, free cont. breakfast. :)
  12. Normally don't book weeks in advance, but this is a busy weekend in San Diego -- Fleet Week and Red Bull Air Races. Many hotels were booked or were $300+/night in downtown. Bid at priceline.com two weeks prior to arrival. Downtown 4* - 80/85/90/95/100/105/110/115/120/125/130 Downtown 3* - 85/95 13th bid won for $95 Lowest rate online for this property was $179.
  13. Normally don't book weeks in advance, but this is a busy weekend in San Diego -- Fleet Week and Red Bull Air Races. Many hotels were booked or were $300+/night in downtown. Bid at priceline.com two weeks prior to arrival. Downtown 4* - 65/75/80/90/100/110/115 Coronado 4* - 90/100/125/135 11th bid won for $135 at Loews Coronado. Lowest rate online for this property was $229, so very pleased to save almost $100. Loews is further from downtown than we wanted to stay, so I did not extend another night, even though we are staying a total of two nights in San Diego.
  14. the weekend we booked was the start of the international balloon fiesta so rates were high all over the city and availability was limited. i was surprised my first bid was accepted. would normally not start bidding at $155, but it was more than 50% below the going rate. surprisingly the hotel was a ghost town on sunday. it appears i may have actually over-bid. :)
  15. First bid... One night 10/6 Resort star level Santa Ana Pueblo $155 ACCEPTED by Hyatt Tamaya Resort & Spa* Extended stay 1 night for total of 2 nights at $155/night. *$325/night at hyatt.com for same dates
