  1. My bid of $42 was not accepted and I was offered the opportunity to rebid at $57. Instead, I added Scott, LA (banking on the fact that there are no 3* hotels in Scott. $45 was accepted. I hope that I used the better bidding PRICELINE link.
  2. I did use the better bidding PRICELINE link - hopefully, you'll get credit.
  3. My first bid for this hotel was accepted so I probably could have gotten it cheaper. However, I don't have time to re-bid multiple times on several days. According to hotel website, rooms are $149. Used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link.
  4. Thanks so much for all your help. I finally got a room at the Rennaissance M St for $135/night. It's actually 3*. Their website quote $350 or so. I searched in Foggy Bottom, Dupont Circle, Downtown and White House areas. I tried many, many cheaper options, this was the first that worked. :) I'm still jealous of all the reported $75 rooms listed, but since this is mid week through weekend, I'm pretty happy.
  5. I'm looking for a DC hotel near a metro (within 6 blocks or so). I'm having a hard time figuring out the safe zones to choose when bidding. I figure by choosing the White House and Convention Center areas I'd probably be safe. What about others? Rates for most area hotels are $300-400/night. I'd rather not pay that much. I wass hoping to get a 3* or 4* hotel for less than $175 total. Do you think that's even possible? Thanks.
