  1. When I looked at the amenities, I assumed that this was the Ambassador Hotel. I was surprised when the Hilton popped up but the price was great and I'm delighted to be downtown for the holiday season. Used the link and took advantage of the coupon. Thanks so much. Amenities: Free internet, Business Center, Fitness Center, Non Smoking, Pets Allowed.
  2. Aaron, I believe that the amenities were as follows: Free Parking (!) Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool (hopefully it's indoor for November in Wisconsin) Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms
  3. Thanks for the valuable assistance. I had neglected to factor in the parking scenario downtown and we will have 2 vehicles on this trip. When you take $20 - $30 per night, per vehicle for parking it starts to make a lot more sense to head for the suburbs. Consequently I took advantage of Priceline Express' deal for $79 per night on a 3.5* hotel in Milwaukee Northwest / Wauwatosa which was clearly the nicely reviewed Crowne Plaza. I used the BB PRICELINE link and even took advantage of the 5% Halloween special. Again, your expertise is very much appreciated!
  4. Hello, I need help identifying a 3.5 star hotel for $100 per night on Hotwire for downtown Milwaukee. 95% recommended Amenities: Business Center, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Self-service laundry, smoke-free rooms, complimentary internet. There also seems to be a 4* hotel for $111 on Priceline Express for the same dates that could be plan B. As always, any help that you can provide is greatly appreciated.
  5. Amenities: Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool, Internet Access

Grand Rapids Southeast - Airport (GRR) 3063 Lake Eastbrook Boulevard Kentwood, Michigan 49512 616-285-7600 Check-In Date: Fri, Apr 23, 2010 / After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: Sat, Apr 24, 2010 / 12:00 PM Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $35.00 Subtotal: $35.00 Taxes & Fees: $12.22 Total Charges*: $47.22 Used the PRICELINE link. Thanks!
  7. Yes, the Spa icon did appear in my confirmation.
  8. I have been waiting patiently for prices to drop on this seemingly busy week in Vegas. I was delighted to see that, what seemed to be, the Hilton had come down to $39. (However it was down to $36 at one point earlier in the day.) Final amenities Casino Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Business Center High Speed Internet Golf Tennis Used the BB HOTWIRE link, of course.
  9. Got it on my first attempt. Used the PRICELINE link of course! A decent facility at a great price.
  10. We were looking for 2 rooms for one night in Downtown Miami. Started at $65 then $68, $70, $72. Finally accepted for $75 at the Intercontinental. We have stayed at both 4* hotels in Downtown Miami (the other being the Hyatt Regency) and knew that we couldn't go wrong either way. Used the PRICELINE link from here, needless to say.
  11. Started at $45 then upped it to $48 for a second bid. The second bid was accepted at the Hyatt Lodge at McDonald's which is a favorite of mine in the Chicago 'burbs.
  12. I was hoping to snag another weekend at our favorite Oakbrook hotel, the Hyatt Lodge at McDonald's. I started bidding at $48 and added increments of $4. I was going to give up but, after failing at $64, I decided to take one last try at $68. Well I was successful however the hotel was the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center. I thought that the Hyatt Lodge was the only 4* that cropped up on Priceline in that area but, obviously, that is not the case. It does look very nice judging by the pictures so all is not lost.
  13. We were hoping to nab this hotel for the 4th and my first bid of $42 was accepted! Priceline seems to have recently upgraded this to a 4* hotel which is great news. To the best of my knowledge there aren't any other 4*'s in this zone and you have lots of free rebids!
  14. Started at $40 then bid up in increments of $5 over 2 days. Finally accepted for Crowne Plaza at $55.
  15. My first bid was accepted at $72 for a 4* Downtown. Dang, I probably should have started lower!
  16. I have been waiting for a price break on a pre-cruise weekend. After having no luck for some time, I was shocked when my first bid of $48 was accepted for the Miami Biscayne Bay Hotel. Thanks to all at Better Bidding for advise and support.
  17. Thanks so much for the info. I was still a little perplexed because my googling was still coming up blank however, with a little detective work, I discovered that it is actually now called the Miami Biscayne Bay Hotel. I was then sorely disappointed when I went back to Hotwire and the post for this hotel seemed to have disappeared. The story does have a happy ending, however, because I nailed down the same hotel at a great price on Priceline. I will post my info there. (And I believe that I used the proper link to PRICELINE. Please educate this relative newbie if I failed.)
  18. I have been patiently waiting for a price break for a pre-cruise weekend of 2/2/08 to 2/4/08 and finally a 3* appeared in downtown Miami for $64 on Hotwire. Judging by the amenities (Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business and Internet) I figured that it had to be the downtown Radisson and I wanted to check location to see if it would work for our various pre-cruise plans. However, the Radisson site no longer shows that they have a property in downtown Miami from what I can gather. Has this property changed hands? Any other thoughts?
  19. Made a last minute decision to visit Milwaukee and needed a room for Sunday night. Picked up the Downtown Hyatt on my first bid for a 3* at $52. Being relatively new to THIS board, I think I followed the proper route to Priceline (at least I hope so).
  20. Hey this site rocks! I solved my Thursday problem by using your Reverse EasyClickTravel tool and identifying the Intercontinental as an "Off the Record" site. The cost was quite a bit higher than my winning Priceline bid however it was worth the extra $$ to be able to settle into one hotel for the 3 days. Thanks to BetterBidding for providing the tools.
  21. We are attending a wedding in early November. Started out looking for a 4* in South Beach (on the cheap) to no avail. Then switched to Downtown 4*. Started at $58 then used free rebids for $62, $68, $72 and finally snagged the Intercontinental for $78. Taxes, etc. were $29.90 so total came to $185.90 for the 2 nights. Now I need to track down a good deal somewhere not too far away for Thur. the 8th.
  22. Caught this on my first bid. We have stayed at this Hyatt previously and think that it's very nice so we are happy campers. $17.96 taxes & service fee for $101.96 total. BTW this is my first post and I'm just posting data from a couple of previous wins. Love the site especially the "Calendar of Wins." I'll be back and will be sure to use the links in the future! (Oops! Got that price and date thing turned around. I'll be smarter next time.)
