  1. Thank you for the hint and your guess. Yes, this are the amenities I see using the Hotwire Easy View Tab.
  2. Dates: 11/15-11/22, $296/n Amenities: Resort, Pet friendly, Beachfront hotel, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access Resort fee: $35 Tripadvisor 4.5, 2000+ reviews Room types: 1 king and 1 sofa bed or 2 double and 1 sofa bed Could it be the Fairmont Kea Lani?
  3. Just got the Novotel London Excel. Expected to get the Hilton Docklands. The listed amenities were: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access Price on Novotel website is 159$ per night. Tried priceline for a couple of days before, but wasn't successful up to $95. Although its even more away from the city center then I hoped to be, I think it's still a good deal. Prices seem to be high during that time as wimbledon tennis tournament is taking place. regards spiky
  4. Hi, I started with 100$, increasing by 2$. Got 'Try again right now by increasing 20$' every time. I'm satisfied with the result, normal rate on priceline is 284$, Rate on marriot.de is about 220$/night. I think the hotel will be convenient for us as we'll go to an event at the O2. CU spiky
  5. Hi, my bid for a resort has just been accepted: (of course I used your PRICELINE link) Hyatt Regency Maui Resort Ka'anapali - Lahaina 200 Nohea Kai Dr Lahaina Maui, Hawaii 96761 808-661-1234 Check-In Date: Wed, Nov 11, 2009 / After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: Thu, Nov 19, 2009 / 12:00 PM Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $114.00 Subtotal: $912.00 Taxes & Fees: $137.76 Total Charges*: $1,049.76 cheapest rate on Hyatt Regency-website: $1976+tax I started with the bid of 75$, then 80$ and so on, starting at 100$ with smaller steps (2-3$). I also used the 4* level as a second allowed star level and finally, when I selected all 4 zones, the bid 114$ has been accepted. I'm very happy with the result, I hoped to get this resort :-) kind regards and thank you very much for your support. finally, I booked now 4 hotels and two rental cars for my upcoming 3 week-trip in November, everything using PRICELINE and your excellent bidding strategy, saving a lot of money! spiky
  6. Hi, I guess in Maui there's the special case that theres only one 4* propertiy and thats expensive. If I search for a 4* hotel via priceline (without bidding), they offer only one (Wailea Beach Villas) for 840$ pN. If I would get that hotel or a resort for my budget (if possible under 100$/night) I would be happy. BTW, I think it's unrealistic to get the 840$ hotel for a bid of 100$ so adding the 4* level is just another possibility for a re-bid, or? regards spiky
  7. The goal is to stay under 100$/n, but I'm prepared to go higher if I can't get a room for that price. I don't want to lower the star level. Looking at the recent winnings, I guess it's more likely to get a hotel in the Wailea area, I'm fine with that. Based on your experience, would it be helpful to split the stay, e.g. 4nights/4nights ? regards spiky
  8. I guess there's only one 4* available and this will be too expensive, so I'll be happy with a resort. regards spiky
  9. bids of 70, 75 and 80$ were denied. 85$ were accepted. I'm really happy about the success regards spiky
  10. Hi, you're right, the dates were cut off: 26th Nov. -29th Nov. Regarding the restaurants: I'm open for every kind of food, the budget can be up to 50$pp, but if its cheaper, I'm also happy :-) regards spiky Thank you for the follow-up. :)
  11. Hi, I'm searching for a 4* or a resort. regards spiky
  12. Hello, I'm searching for a hotel for Maui from 11th-19th November. I know the my re-bid zones are Kahalui and Kihei. The purpose would be to get the best hotel available over PRICELINE, any recommodations for an according bidding strategy? Would you prefer either Kanapali or Wailea-Makena? The budget is not limited, it just should be a good deal. I'm also searching for a hotel on Big Island for 19th-26th November. I found the re-bid zone Hilo. Would you recommend to try to get a resort in Kona or better in Waikoloa? what would be the strategy? kind regards spiky

  15. Hi, I'm very happy to tell you that I've been successful and got the Hotel Parc 55 from 8th till 11th November for 75$! This price was actually my first bid. Thank you for the very helpful link to the Hop on Hop off bus. Of course, I used the PRICELINE link from your website. regards spiky
  16. Hi,the budget is round about 100$/night, if it's a really nice hotel, it can be more. As I've never been to San Francisco, I'd like to go to some ' Must see's '. The programm shouldn't be too packed for 2 full days. If possible, everything should be reachable without a rental car, maybe an organised bus tour, like the Hop on Hop off bus in NYC?kind regards spiky
  17. Just wanted to give a short report and thank you again for the good recommendations. The Sheraton Hotel was a perfect choice. Very central, so all main spots could be reached easily, most of them by foot. I made it also to Peter Lugers and the steak there really was a great experience. We also found a great seafood restaurant: city crab and seafood company The Happy Hour offers 1/2 price cocktails and oysters :-) thanks for all the support in this forum the next journey to the US is already currently being planned
  18. Hi! I'm searching for a hotel in San Francisco in November. It will be 3 night stop over for us before heading to Hawaii. As it's our 1st time there I would appreciate some recommendation in which area we should stay to have a good starting point for the 3 day sightseeing. I don't know the exact date yet, but it'll be around 7th-10th November. The hotel I'm looking for should be 4* and above. I've seen that the Parc55 was won for that time. Would that be a good choice? I would be happy for every advice, kind regards spiky
  19. Wow! Thank you very much for all your recomendations! Just a last question: Do you also know a place to get good seafood? I'll definitly try the locations and tell you how it was. regards spiky
  20. Hi! Basically I'm open for almost every type of food. It would be nice if the breakfast would come with an italian style espresso (small and strong) :-) I'm searching for restaurants with a good value for money, one time I'd like to have steak for dinner. Dinner shouldn't exeed 50$pp. regards spiky
